“Excellent surgeon and after care. My dog had his CCL in his right knee repaired. The initial consult was scheduled quickly and the surgery to follow. The incision was small, he healed fine and according to the schedule they predicted, and it even came in hundreds of dollars under their initial estimate. My only issue was that they were perhaps too cautious - detected a bit of heart murmur and had me take my dog to a veterinary cardiologist 70 miles away to have his heart examined. Half a day, 140 miles driven and $600 later we now knew he had a typical 8yo spaniel's heart. Given how many 8yo spaniels VSA has treated I would have thought that was something they might have known about and saved me the time/trouble/money - it is a known but minimal risk. Poor guy is limping on the left leg now, so I will be a repeat customer very soon :-(”

“ Dr. David Vaughan is a highly competent veterinarian who I have entrusted my pets' care to since he took over the practice many years ago. Having 3 dogs and 3 cats, I can attest to the overall calming presence Dr. Vaughan has with pets and people. He has always been a patient listener when I have had concerns to speak with him of. He is also a caring caregiver to his office cats, who needed a home due to noncontagious medical concerns. I always look for Junior, who I consider Finksburg Veterinary Center's mascot. He normally is there to greet as well as say goodbye as I am checking out at the counter. My pet's well being is Dr. Vaughan's first and foremost concern, and I know he genuinely cares about all animals. If you have a concern about prices, his prices are fair and competitive. My pet's deserve good quality care, with a veterinarian that is genuinely concerned about their health. These veterinarians and their support staff are highly experienced, conscientious, and very knowledgeable about preventative and emergency health care. They are also very attentive to the disposition and behavior of their two patients while also being very understanding of the feelings and finances of us, the pet owners. We live relatively far from the Camino Animal Clinic but are willing to make the trip to have the clinic care for our dogs.
