“Wow! The Dharma is alive and well at this bespoke Zen retreat center created by the Rochester Zen Center (In the lineage of Roshi Phillip Kapleau the author of The Three Pillars of Zen). Designed from the ground up to be optimized for Sesshin (Zen retreats) and situated on a picturesque landscape of rolling forested hills, a pond, and flowing stream, there is no better place to make your stand (or rather seat) for your quest for enlightenment. Roshi Kjolhede and his Dharma heirs masterfully run 2, 4, and 7 day sesshins in an integrated zen style, bringing together the best aspects of the Soto and Rinzai Zen Schools. The approach is adapted to be friendly to westerners, as well as non-westerners, while retaining the striking vigor of its Japanese origins. I just finished my first 7 day sesshin and I know I will be back. I cannot recommend this location enough for your first, or next sesshin. I am so moved by my experience that I am shamelessly promoting this to my utmost (I was not asked to review nor am I being compensated). BTW, the center is also available for other groups to run meditation based retreats in between sesshins.”

From Kim, who makes it seem so easy to get me into the schedule (and is always pleasant on the phone and in person), to the dental assistant whose name I unfortunately forget to get. Finally, to Dr. Bhakta who friendly and professional at the same time. She takes her time, making certain that I'm comfortable and not in pain. Because I have a dental condition that sometimes requires an oral surgeon, she know exactly when to make that referral and not to try and take on the impossible. My experience with her referral, Dr. Mark Craig, MD, DDS, has been excellent. I would give Dr. Bhakta and her staff 10 stars if that was available.”

I got two mediums and they were a tiny bit petite but they were good and these were not out of the normal range of size, i think I'm just a chubby boy for life and that's him talking lol and my order was completed promptly. The staff was fast and friendly and the restaurant was very clean. They have a small game room and overall a good amount of seating. Perfect for families. They also have a veterans wall of honor which is always something nice to see. They also have an app with good deals on it and they definitely have good deals when it comes to large orders so if you got like a baseball league or this or is that going on and you need a lot of pizzas Simple Simon's Pizza is the place to go.”

What a lovely place - and the breakfast is amazing for such a small hotel (we just expected coffee and a muffin). People that are complaining about breakfast in the reviews maybe missed half of the buffet - there’s different yoghurts, different oatmeals, a lot of fruit, high quality and very diverse selection of pastries, freshly brewed coffee, toast, bread. Nice people at the reception. Parking is suite easy in the surrounding streets. We’re really happy we chose this hotel for a very reasonable price. The rooms and bed are on the small side, but very manageable. They do have black-out blinds (I saw somewhere in the reviews they did not), you have to look for the right button on the touchpad.”

“As an antiques dealer specializing in jewelry, for over 40 years, I have searched for a jeweler to do business with for the past YEAR since moving to Venice from MA. Hallelujah! I have finally found the PERFECT place! Reflections in Gold has attentive, informed staff who are friendly but never pushy. I met with the owners, Tony and Khia, who were a delight to deal with. Other stores have to send repair jobs out, but they are able to do them in house. They even do knotted pearl re-stringing on the premises. Khia did a fabulous job re-stringinging a $4K strand of pearls MUCH faster and at a MUCH. better price than other places quoted me. Then on top of all that they have a "treats" table with chocolates and cookies for their customers! When I need a ring sized? I will go to Reflections in Gold. When I need pearls restrung? I will go to reflections in Gold. When I need someone I can trust to repair antique jewelry? I will go to Reflections in Gold. When anyone asks me for a jeweler I recommend? I will send them to Reflections in Gold!”
