“We absolutely love this place — this was probably our 8th visit, and it never disappoints! We came on Saturday with a reservation for 6, and it was packed with a line out the door. Even though it was busy, we were never forgotten — the staff kept checking in and making sure we had everything we needed. Everyone was amazing! The service was fantastic and the food was just as delicious as always. Everything came out fresh, perfectly made, and the team handled the crowd like pros. The atmosphere was lively — the music was a little louder than I prefer, but nothing to complain about. Easily one of our favorite spots in town!”

“There is a short, paved trail that leads to an interesting overlook of Establishment Creek, and you can see the Mississippi River in the distance. If you continue down the trail from there, it is no longer paved. It's pretty narrow and goes rather steeply downhill for a bit. I read people's reviews on AllTrails before we went, and they mentioned that the trail was impossible to follow. We saw a couple that came back up while we were at the overlook, and they said they turned around and retraced their steps. However, we had brought a map that I printed from the website, and that helped us keep on the trail. The trick is to make a sharp right turn just past the bench that you come to along the way. Follow that until the first bridge. Once you cross it, it looks like you could go straight ahead up a hill. But we tried that and it randomly ends, so you need to turn left after the bridge. After that there isn't anything else tricky. It takes you pretty much in a loop and brings you back out onto the paved trail near the overlook. You could do the trail in reverse (counterclockwise), but the climb back up would be a challenge. Somehow it works out to be more of a gradual incline if you take it the way we did. We visited in early spring so the scenery wasn't all that interesting. It seems like there should be more views of the creek but we didn't see any past the main overlook area.”

“There are more trails here than people realize. I like to come here for hiking, and it's a great place to bring your dog. I often see people riding horses, and I've had some great conversations with people studying the local geology and plants. Every time I go I am surprised by how under used this place is. There is a large area for parking with space for pickups and their trailers. Bring water because there's no water services on site and the restrooms are outhouse style, I avoid them when I can, but they are there if you're desperate.”

“So far I've had 1 beef and 2 hogs processed here. Expectations are everything. This place is busy so once in a while a mistake is made. You as the customer need to be very specific about what you want done. Most importantly you get back everything you ask for. This place does quality work and I've been very happy. I'm having my own meat processed because it's just gotten rediculus to buy from the store. I'm sure even more mistakes get made during the rush of deer season. Even the famous Webb's butcher block makes mistakes on deer due to the sheer volume. This is why I process my own deer.”

“I have tried exercising to stay in shape many many times through my life. It was always the same story, the lack of results would lead to diminished motivation and I would quit. Every now and again I would meet people that would say that exercise was addictive. I didn’t believe any of them as I could not imagine someone would become upset because they had not worked out. This was until about a year ago. My obesity doctor had recommend Shaun as someone competent and knowledgeable. Shaun has an awesome exercising program that focuses on building core strength as well as on creating exercises that will not only focus on typical muscles but as well as on muscles you didn’t even know existed. This leads to a dramatic increase in strength, endurance, and balance. I am 44 and I have never been in as much shape as I am now. I have never enjoyed working out as much as I do now. Interestingly, exercise is no longer geared towards looks, but it is really to make me feel better, more energetic, stronger, with better mobility and balance. Even with a newborn, I do everything to not miss a session. My wife will even say that I get upset if something happens that prevents me from going to the gym. It took my wife’s persistence for the previous 7 years before “I found time to exercise”. Needless to say that exercising has improved my quality of life. I can’t emphasize enough how important Shaun and JJ have been in my journey to get into shape. I am confident that I would not have ever gotten these results if it weren’t for them. I am always eager to find out what kind of “crazy clever” exercise Shaun has come up with for the next class. These are small group sessions that are just like one on one training. They are constantly correcting your form and explaining which muscles you are targeting and why. I could not be happier and more grateful. Not only Shaun is very competent, you can tell he clearly loves what he does and wants to make sure you get the most out of each workout. Last Thursday I ended up working until midnight and doing paperwork until 4 am. My session was 5:30a and I just could not wake up. I was pretty bummed that I had missed my workout. I was really happy to get an email from Shaun saying that they had missed me on Thursday and that he had 2 spots on Saturday, which I took promptly. The two amazing things in this story are: 1) Shaun’s commitment to my well-being 2) my desire to not miss a work out because I truly enjoy them (most people that know me would find Beth hard to believe that I would have ever become an exercise fan). Shaun and JJ thank you for all you have done for me! I truly appreciate it - more than you will ever know.”
