Pleasant Valley Campground

Address: 808 Essex County Rd 20, Kingsville, ON N9Y 1H8, Canada

Campground Park Lodging

“This campground is really great. I’m rather saddened by the reviews as I know many of them are written out of anger because someone didn’t get their way and didn’t respect park rules. I think the issue is that many individuals feel as though they are family when they stay here, and should be able to get away with not following the rules. When the rules don’t get bent for them, that’s when they start sharing harsh words about the campground and management. All campgrounds have rules, and following the rules here will lead to happy staff, happy management, happy owners, and therefore a happy camper😊”

“This was my first time going to Canada. I saw online, when I was planning my trip to Niagara Falls, that Niagara on the Lake was a must see. I have to agree now that I've been. It's a very beautiful place the flowers are so pretty and well kept. We walked around town and to the lake. The lake is very nice as well. Benches in the shade to sit and admire the scenery. I'm very glad we didn't miss visiting here.”

“Everyone should hike the trails here at least once, even better in the fall. The lookout fog views in the morning at the upper part were spectacular. The scenery along the way descending to the river was beautiful. The river views were magnificent. The trails are rated moderately challenging, and they definitely are. The Whirlpool trail section was closed due to high water level.”

Overall a pleasent experience.”

The Quarry

Address: 10638 Quarry Rd, Wainfleet, ON, Canada

“Pro tip: park and enter just south of 10638 Quarry Rd. Came on a Thursday, had the place almost to ourselves. The trail is quite exposed, so on a sunny day you'll want to be prepared. It's a cool place to explore, find fossils, and enjoy a different view.”

Comfort Maple Conservation Area

Address: 636 Metler Rd, Fenwick, ON L0S 1C0, Canada

Park

“Come see one of the oldest sugar maple trees in Canada, estimated at 300 - 500 years old. The tree itself is surrounded by a fence to help protect it, leaving only a small area for walking and parking for four vehicles. Look for a faded conservation area logo sign on the south side of Metler road marking a single lane dirt road to the tree.”

Heritage Trail

Address: John St E, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON L0S 1J0, Canada

Park

“While the Heritage Trail in its current state is not the longest trail it is a nice quaint walk. Lots of birds to be heard and the path itself is well maintained. The trail goes between a community of houses leading towards the back of some Vineyards. With future expansions the Heritage Trail can only get better.”

Richmond Street Park

Address: 111 Richmond St, Thorold, ON L2V 3H2, Canada

Park

Charnwood Park

Address: 6729 Montrose Rd, Niagara Falls, ON L2H 3N3, Canada

Park

“Not sure why they call it a park, it's more of an uneven open field with tons of rocks. Not what I thought it would be. That said, it is nice that it's not full of families and screaming kids, it is a nice place to get away. There is an actual park attached to it so families can go there. Lots of nature sounds, forested areas, birds, like a diamond in the rough of the city limits. I read another review that said it's full of ticks, I can imagine at this time of year it would be, it's not maintained. Dress appropriately including hiking boots.”

Ford Test Track Park

“I love this park!!! There’s so much space to play, walk, scoot, bike, play soccer, or do anything you want! There are so many places to sit and just enjoy the day. I love coming here during the summer. Today I was there by myself for almost two hours just enjoying the sun and watching other people play. If you don’t want to be close to people, there is plenty of space. Whether you have kids, are an adult, or older age, the Ford Test Track Park is a great place to spend the day! Tip: there aren’t many picnic tables available, so keep that in mind if you’re coming here for a picnic. Public washrooms available as well.”
