“The Niagara Emergency Vet Clinic was fantastic with us today. Our 6 year old German Shepherd got into the kitchen compost, which (unfortunately) isn't anything new. The next day she began vomiting and was extremely lethargic. I called this clinic and they advised me if her lethargy becomes paired with another symptom (continued vomiting, diarrhea, panting etc) to then bring her in, but as of right now it just sounds like she has an upset tummy. 5 hours later, we're awoken to vomiting and diarrhea so we took her right in. As this clinic operates just like a human ER and sees patients based on severity, we did have to wait quite a while to get her in and have her seen (3 hours before we spoke to a vet) but once she was seen things moved quickly. The vet was very kind, very personable, and great to deal with. He explained that another medication she was on at the time weakened her stomach which is why she was having such a negative reaction to this round of compost eating. He gave her some anti nausea injections, sent her home with antibiotics as well as some food for her to use the next two weeks. You are expected to pay up front for the estimated cost of the services - for us that was $700 - however after it was all said and done we actually received a refund of $60. Everyone from the ladies answering the phones, to the women who took our dog in/brought our dog out, to the vet was just fantastic. If I ever need emergency services again (and I hope I don't!) I will not hesitate to return to this clinic.”

“The wait was worth it!! Having a walk-in schedule can be difficult to be seen the moment your pet needs care. It took me a couple of days but the front desk staff gave me places that could get my dog in if it was an emergency. My dog was not in an emergency situation so I waited a few hours and called in to check if they could get my dog seen for his annual appointment. The staff was courteous and accommodating in person and on the phone even when having to turn patients away due to being over booked. I appreciate the all the staff and their dedication to pets of all kinds. The veterinarian that saw my dog was great and I appreciate all the time she took to answer my questions. I am thankful for this place and the staff that make this office my first choice!! My advise is be patient and be flexible!!”

“Had to take my cat in for an emergency this evening and we had such a great experience. We were warned that there would be a wait when we called prior to going, but in total we were only there for about an hour and a half, which really isn’t bad! The vet that we saw was thorough and really listened to what we had to say. He answered all of our questions and did not run any unnecessary tests. The other workers present were polite and helpful, and their system of having us wait in the car was efficient and safe! Overall, I would definitely recommend going here and I will make this my go-to place for all of my cat’s medical needs.”

It was recommended to have some dental work done and we had to rebook due to covid finances. Desiree is always wonderful to deal with, rebooked us with no issue and was very thorough on pick up for after surgery care. Cost was reasonable and exactly what we were expecting, no surprises.”
