“Twenty years ago I took my first retreat at this wonderful place. It is as good today as it was then - indeed, in ways material, it is far better. We know God is always with us, but you really feel his presence here.”

“We had a peaceful visit here. I was so surprised to see the door was open - that is a very good idea - and I hope visitors use that with care. I must go back again, the walks nearby are very good. Thank you..”

“Beautiful little church now on land owned by Proctor and Gamble. Whilst only open on certain days and weekends throughout the year it is still worth a visit to look around the churchyard and outside. Another interesting note is the church was one of the churches used in ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’”
Address: High Rd, Orsett, Grays RM16 3ER, UK
“Large church in the centre of Orsett, built of knapped flint and limestone, with a squat brick tower, topped with a weatherboard pyramid. It's a handsome building; locked when I visited on a grey afternoon. It has many interesting features in the exterior architecture. Guidebooks indicate a lot more inside. Worth a visit on a sunny day when it is open.”

“This church seems to still see occasional use, by the stacked chairs and bits inside. But I’ve never actually seen anyone else around it. It’s a nice little photo spot though, raised up it has a nice view of the local area. Good little spot for a dog walk. Plenty of parking nearby, plenty of open space. Worth a look if you’re in the area and fancy a bit of a chance of scenery.”
