“Had a takeaway delivered. Took an hour to arrive. Person taking the order was pleasant and ordering was straight forward. The food tastes lovely and was hot when it arrived. I always have duck with pancakes as a starter. I prefer it when it comes on the bone and I shred it myself as it seems moister. Just a personal preference. But It came pre shredded in a container. The chow mein came in a small container which I'm used to coming in a large container from other takeaways. The price didn't reflect the smaller portion size. Overall it was a nice tasting meal. Nothing spectacular with slightly small portions. The prices was competitive with other takeaways.”

“We came in May and liked the food so booked our festive meal for this weekend, staff were helpful as they had put us in the main dining area but we booked for the private area and they sorted this out very quickly. Vegetables a bit cold but otherwise food was nice. The service was excellent. However due to cold vegetables I give this a 4 star. Nice pub, worth a visit.”

“I was a pupil at Davenant in 1960 - 1966 the first five years being at the school's original site in Whitechapel. This was the start of 46 years commuting from my original home in Ilford thereafter to various places of work in The City. I'm sure things are very different today but I have fond memories of the school, it's a shame that I have lost touch with all my contemporaries - I did attend an Old Boy's evening a couple of decades ago but recognised no one.”

“I'm a car enthusiast and change my cars regularly. I'm currently on my 3rd car from Lanmere over the last 3 years . My first car from them was a Z4 coupe , followed by a Z4M coupe and now I have a E92 M3 Competition pack. Lanmere has been the best car dealership I have ever dealt with. All 3 cars have been spotless and trouble free . The Z4M had a problem with the navigation 2 weeks after purchase . The owner Richard had this fixed within 2 days no questions asked . I plan to have my M3 for 6-12 months , and will return there for another purchase. Richard and the staff at Lanmere are helpful , professional and don't try and push a sale . You can buy with confidence and reassurance.”
