“I found this place almost by accident; it's a tiny little pop-up shop that I nearly cycled past without realising. I'm so glad I didn't! It's a 'Bean to Bar' shop, so very fancy, and the guy who runs it is obviously very knowledgeable about chocolate generally and the stuff he sells particularly. They sell the locally made Land chocolate, Damson (from Islington) and a few other british makers (chocolate flavoured with cornish gorse flower!). There's a shelf of european makers and then stuff from further afield; the states, madagascar, new zealand... They sell freshly made hot chocolate at 66% or 100% cocoa (vegan or dairy options), single chocolates/ganaches etc for gifts, and I've alwasy been able to taste one bar or another when I've popped in. And I've popped in a lot. It's only here for three months, and I intend to make the most of it.”
