  We've had dinner at the Royal Oak seven or eight times, now. It's an unpretentious, proper pub, with warm welcome and atmosphere and decent beers, but the star of the show is the food. We've had amazing skate, French onion soup to die for, proper cod and chips, venison that's out of this world, a delicate plaice, and of course, the "filth" burger, which is divine.
  Not to be missed. You could pay a lot more for much worse food in some of the supposedly top restaurants in London. We're about to move out of the area, and we'll be coming back anyway.

  A lovely place for Sunday lunch. Nice and quite. Food was lovely. Staff were efficient.

  Excellent food. A bit pricier than other local pubs. But worth it for the food.

  Surprised me. Staff were friendly, it's a family pub by day and prices arnt stupid. It has a nice nostalgic automotive theme tastefully done and as a dad the toilets are so well thought out for kids. That was probably the biggest thing for me. Baby changing and child toilets in the men's.

  Really friendly, good service lovely food varied menu. Bit noisy but it was a Friday night and it was a good atmosphere.
