The Watermill

I love the Watermill and three weeks ago had a great Sunday lunch with my family, however what a disappointment this Sunday, food was Luke warm and service not great.

Have been here several times before when service was terrible and food mediocre. (But wonderful view of Box Hill). This time top marks for both food and service. The restaurant was full but we got excellent service.
A great improvement.

Pleasant surroundings. Would have been nicer if everyone's food was brought out at the same time. Most had finished before the last plate was brought.
More veg with the duck would have been appreciated.

Visited this place during their "British Game Season" in 2013 and had the most fantastic meal for two ever. Two courses of the most amazing poultry and fish with a great dessert and drinks came to £32. I was astonished at the amount of food and the incredbile quality and presentation. Truly one of the best chain pubs I've ever visited!
Also fantastic view of the Surrey Hills and Box Hill from the garden which is very sunny in afternoons with decking and nice furniture.
