  Dog friendly on bar area where we enjoyed a quiet Sunday lunch on a beautifully sunny Sunday. We usually go to Ramblers rest - sister restaurant but we preferred the space and quiet here. Pity they don't have diet drinks - diet lemonade or Schweppes diet tonic (fever tree low tonic has more points for those following weight watchers). Will definitely visit again

  We had Sunday lunch at the Arkle which was a last minute booking. We were greeted straight away by 2 polite and happy staff. We were looked after all through the meal always around for drink etc. Food was really good all round and sensible priced. staff were very nice, tidy and professional. We would 100% recommend this place, looking forward to our next visit.

  A birthday celebration for 16 at lunch time today. Excellent food and excellent service from very attentive staff. Thank you to all the staff for making this a wonderful experience and for being very patient. Will be top of our list for recommendations.

  We sat outside as it was a sunny day and the view is lovely. They stock the Thistle Cross Elderflower cider which is so tasty and really refreshing. Sunday roast was delicious though gravy was a little thin. Would happily eat here again.
  Found the car parking spaces were at awkward angles so not ideal for big cars
