Staff very friendly and efficient; listened to my needs re vegan breakfast( very good!) and without any trouble at all, provided me with a synthetic (ethical) duvet and pillows. A wonderful double room/en suite with a balcony. An additional treat was the beautiful garden, with the occasional visit from a cat! I would highly recommend Temple Lodge to anyone who enjoys a place to stay with personality and soul.”

“A month ago I finally decided to bite the bullet and take up singing lessons. I've always loved to sing and I am currently in a band so I thought it would be a good investment both on a personal level and as a musician. I found Gemma after searching online for teachers, the reviews I had read made choosing her an easy decision. I remember walking to my first lesson and the nerves were quite bad, however within a minute of meeting Gemma I felt completely at ease. I cannot emphasise enough what a lovely person she is and most importantly what a fantastic teacher she is. In my first three lessons I have already learnt so much, she has a fantastic understanding of how the voice works, exercises are challenging but fun and she explains things in a way that makes correcting your mistakes easy. I never feel embarrassed to ask questions either. Even though it is still early days I have noticed an improvement in my range, my breathing is improving and above all else I feel that my confidence in my own voice is improving. I cannot recommend her enough and I'm really looking forward to the lessons ahead! ”
