El Comal | Mexican Restaurant

This has got to be one of the best Mexican restaurants in Lakeveiw! I haven’t eaten here in a couple of years, I lived in mount Olive, and I just moved here to McCalla.. the food was hot and excellent, the service was top notch! This place was packed out when I left, tables and booths are available, and I could also see there where slot of regulars there

An enjoyable experience and a nice stop along a road trip.

Good flavor (was not expecting that), good portions, good customer service and not pricey at all… surprised in a wonderful way because I already needed some homemade food or close to that! (No homemade tortillas and no aguas frescas).

If you never heard of nor tried El Comal here in McCalla do yourself a favor and stop what you're doing and eat here!!
This food is FIRE GOOD!!!
Salsa has depth of flavor, nice heat, more than the average Mexican restaurant.
Street tacos were amazing > lots of white onions and cilantro both of which I love and agree, the more the merrier in these doubled up soft shell corn tortillas. Yummy!!
Added a side of beans, bc what's Mexican food without beans?> all was amazingly flavored. My favorite was the authentic Mexican music, not the typical music one might expect to hear here, but much more romantic and beautiful, a great place to eat, especially after I've just driven 10hrs. today from Virginia back to Alabama. The Mayan calendar behind the register is sure to see me again!!
