“I brought my 1yo and 4yo, they both enjoyed the cabin and the horses. The cabin we rented was small and cozy, I enjoyed it very much. Linens were fresh and there was access to a common kitchen. Being our 4yo was a little young for a trail ride we got a short 15min ride around the ranch.(she Loved it) All the folks there seemed very knowledgeable in there roles and there always was something happening. I am going back and bringing more family as this was the perfect little retreat.”

“I booked a fishing trip with Gwin’s Lodge and had an incredible day on the Kenai River. Their guide Scott was eager to plan the trip around my desire to chase rainbow trout instead of salmon. Scott’s enthusiasm and tenacity to find these rainbows even during high water conditions was truly impressive. He used his knowledge to change out fly patterns multiple times until we found what worked. We had a 20+ fish day even with challenging conditions. I will definitely book another trip with Scott and Gwin’s Lodge. Great hospitality and excellent food after an epic day on the river.”

“My husband and I stopped in on our way to Homer at 7pm on Father's Day after a long drive from Denali. The place was packed but we found a seat at the counter. We sat for a few minutes as the staff were very busy, but not extraordinarily long. We ordered the special, Prime Rib dinner. Our waitress was very friendly and chatted with us a bit Our order took some time to come out, but was hot and very good. We had a nice conversation with the owner, Arden. We returned on our way back up the peninsula for lunch and were greeted by the staff, served promptly, and left happy. Bought a few things at the gift shop and went on our way!”

“I've been camping in Alaska for over 20 years and I am amazed that I have never been to Finger Lakes State Rec Area. It is such an awesome little gem of a campground right in between Palmer and Wasilla. It's beautiful, clean, spacious, and quiet. And there is a boat launch for the lake, which allows motorized boats. You can fish on the lake or off one of the two docks. Fishing is supposed to be decent, but my friend and I had zero luck catching anything. The reason I gave 4/5 was the price of the campsites are really expensive per night ($25/$35 per night for tent/premium camping). I think the high cost becomes a bit prohibitive for the average camper and there are more cost friendly options along the Wasilla/Palmer Highway.”

“This place is amazing. We loved our two night stay. The cabin has lots of space. The TV is set up so you can watch from both downstairs and the loft. They supply cooking utensils like pots and pans. There's a fridge and microwave. There's free showers at the main office. There's nice walking trails. Also great trails for cross country skiing. We went in the winter but I was told in the summer they have swimming, boating and camp fires. We will definitely be back we loved it so much.”

“We went to the Kenai Riverside Resort for an off site business and team building retreat. Our guides, Jim and Kevin, were outstandingly excellent in the attention to detail, cordial service, good equipment, helping us find plenty of fish in a fun and safe way. The delicious shore lunches at the resort and fire pit made for a rejuvenating experience after hours on the water. Jim also helped us to organize float plane charters to remote destinations and deep sea fishing out of Homer. “Wow, I cannot rave enough about this place! My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary weekend and we didn't even want to go home because we felt so at home the entire time. The property is gorgeous, and the room was quiet, charming, cozy, and meticulously clean. There were delicious muffins in the fridge, big recliner chairs, a relaxing jacuzzi, and the bed was so insanely comfortable. Being able to feed the friendly reideer was super cool as well! All in all, this was the perfect recipe for a romantic getaway. We'll be back!”

“Had the most memorable July 4th weekend with Ben! Coordinated the the trip with his wife, Amber, who was fantastic to work with. Went out with a group of 5 people and we were catching Kings all day. My wife and I are still sore from reeling in fish. I've been charter fishing all over/outside the US and Ben (Miller's Riverboat Services) was the most professional charter that I've been on. His goal was to give us all the best experience and he did! Ben is a super polite and genuine guy who did a phenomenal job finding the the hot spot to catch fish all day and filleted the fish for us at the end of the trip. We can't wait to book again with Miller's Riverboat Services!”

“This hotel is a but outdated but does have the basic needs one needs of close to the airport. The customer service is very good, and the rooms are older but very clean, and the beds are comfortable. A very quiet location and there is not much noise in the hallways/adjacent rooms. The breakfast is not that great but it does the job, a basic continental breakfast but servers always have a smile.”
