  We are from Chicago and are so happy for this Portillos on the west side! We love just about everything on the menu, with favorites being charbroiled chicken croissant (with honey mustard instead of mayo -yum!), Italian beef with hot peppers, super delicious burgers, and of course their Chicago famous dogs. And when we feel we can add dessert their chocolate cake is to die for!! Shakes are also delicious, especially their chocolate cake shake!
  Great staff, clean restaurant filled with old time Chicago memorabilia. Everyone who eats here loves it!

  Best staff ever! They were attentive and caring to us and our kids. They acted like they wanted and appreciated the business, unfortunately, that type of gratitude is rare nowadays. We will be back, this week actually! Also as a Chicago native I can vouch for the spot on taste of the food.

  I am from the middle of Illinois and was amazed that Portillo's had opened a restaurant in Phoenix. Portillo's is a destination for most people in northern Illinois for their sliced roast beef sandwich. I ordered the same sandwich, it was great, with sweet peppers. My friend ordered the sausage and roast beef sandwich. We were both very happy with the sandwiches. A great restaurant, fast service, and very friendly staff.

  First time going inside since they opened. The service was very good. The food was also excellent. I love the roast beef with sweet peppers. My companion always enjoys the chili dog and fries with cheese sauce. The inside is decorated really neat with metal signs and a checker board floor. It was a fun lunch. Portillos remains one of my favorite spots.

  It's fast food and they do an overall good job at it. Is it the best in the world? No but it will satisfy a craving for many "Chicago" favorites.
  
  Do you want a hot dog, but you wife wants a burger? Simple come here. But maybe the kids want chicken? Come here. There is a wide variety on the menu from burger to shakes and everything in between.
  
  My daughter loves their house bread. If I want to go I just promise the house bread and she agrees.
  
  Don't forget to try dessert too! Try a seasonal shake, strawberry shortcake, or one of the cakes.
