  Macayo’s is a Phoenix institution! It hits that spot deep down in your belly only some greasy spoon Mexican food can hit. Many items can be customized to dietary needs, I.e. no dairy, meat, etc. A couple good vegetarian/vegan options as well. I had the vegetarian enchiladas with no cheese and my wife had the veggie tacos with no cheese. Highly recommend for that taste of Phoenix! Don’t forget the fries ice cream!!

  Macayo’s is fabulous! From the service, to the food. You will not be disappointed. You have some cravings for some good Mexican food? Take a visit to Macayo’s! The staff are attentive, friendly and fast. Clean establishment. Wonderful all around.

  It was a busy night, so service was a little slow. But we completely understand they might be short staffed. Tortilla soup was just the perfect amount of spicy and my companion ordered tamales, which he loved! We definently will be coming back for more :-)

  Great service. I got a fajita bowl. Very simple but it was wonderful. The right amount of food so I could have a second margarita in a Bob Mug. It was quiet the night I was there. Staff were attentive and helpful. Give the a try. The waiter said the chimichangas are the best, so I will be back!
