“I don't attend this church. My family likes to visit the taco stand on Saturday nights. They are only open on the weekends, Friday through Sunday. They set up next to the parking lot and they have delicious street tacos. I don't think this church is actually open anymore but yeah we only come for the tacos. They seem like nice people. ❤️”

“I grew up in a WELS in Wisconsin, (coincidentally also named Good Shepherd), so attending here for the first time, brought back a lot of memories and familiarity for me. I was able to see a 3 month old baby getting baptized into the Lutheran faith and able to receive Holy Communion. I had the Opportunity to chat with Pastor Deters prior to the service, a very pleasant person. He is ready to retire in two months after a 30 year tenure with this congregation. He also knew the Pastor of the church I grew up in Wisconsin, as he started his service in Illinois. The church was founded in 1947. They no longer have a school for the children. All of the people were welcoming and friendly. Overall, a pleasant experience if you are searching for a traditional Lutheran Church in the central Phoenix area.”

“We have a Great bunch of people it's the kind of church that everyone makes you feel welcome and you know everyones name & you know when someone misses and like famly someone's got to at least call to make sure your o.k. During June -July - Aug-Sept we may only have (1) One Food Bank day it depends on the weather we'll let you know. The food we pass out ....we try veg's/ fruit / eggs/ bread /meats/deserts it just depends on what we can get. You "DON'T need to be a member of the church to come get food....you just have to be hungry or need food! No form's to fill out just if you can bring something to bring your food back home would help! Box/ Bags/ Backpack!! If you'd like to attend our service it's Sunday 10:00 have a coffee/ snack meet everyone then the service. “This is actually a farmers market on the premise. Wednesday and Saturday morning. Very 1st one for me and I loved it. Vendors say that Saturday has almost triple the amount of shops than Wednesday. Wednesday starts at 9 am and Saturday morning opens at 8am. Both days they close at 1 pm.”

The Christmas Eve Pastor's message was excellent and my teenage grandson is so happy there in his Youth Group For me, I will never understand why music has to have such high amplification. I have hearing loss and do not want more so will not attend regularly. I am sure everyone has to receive some damage and do not understand bringing babies and young children into that atmosphere.”
