Last year, I was heartbroken when I came to the conclusion that my mother needed supportive care, for a very serious medical condition, that I could no longer give on my own. During one of the most challenging times in my life, Amy, her husband, sister, and staff stepped in. They treated us with so much kindness and compassion when I needed it most. Their home was always kept very clean, they provided special activities for the residents, and made sure that my mother always had exactly what she needed. They went above and beyond to take care of my mother, and I cannot thank them enough for all they did. It is hard to have peace of mind or any comfort when a loved one is sick and you want the best for them. Amy and everyone who works with her did their best to provide some of that for me. This is a wonderful place with wonderful people. Highly recommended.”

“This place is a gem! I’m always exploring coffee shops and with that always finding a spot with good food as well and this place is definitely that. We love going here when we want a quick bite to eat or don’t really want to a lot of money on breakfast. Our go to is any seasonal latte they have or white zombie! For food we always get the sausage burrito and pizza bagel (with cream cheese) and the sandwich is also yummy!”

“I have never written a review on anything. But Heath did a great job. I am having natural gas plumbed to my house and I needed to have the interior of my home plumbed. Heath knocked it out, price was fair, work was great. I don't like people coming into my home but when Heath was done you would never of known he was there other than the pluming he did. Everything was clean when he was finished and it looks great. I will definitely recommend him to others and will be using him again in the future.”

Since the City of Phoenix has had nearly the entirety on South Central Avenue torn up for going on two straight years now, supposedly to extend the light rail but have yet to see any signs of it anytime soon- - this torn up, blocked off, shut down, dirty, dusty, loud disaster of a project- - - which btw has been not only been inconvenient, frustrating, irritating and never ending headache for EVERYONE who lives or works or shops or has to drive through that half of Phoenix for the past two years, has not only negatively impacted our community and the families and people who live here, but has been a real problem for the good businesses which are already struggling to keep their doors open since the Covid Epidemic and the Country being shut down and locked down for nearly the past two years on top of it all-- our local businesses have done an outstanding job of looking out for all of us and keeping their businesses afloat and providing all of us with jobs and decent wages to feed our families and keep a roof over our heads!! I personally am very happy with, and proud of, the majority of our local businesses and want to thank them by doing all of my shopping, buying, and business with our local businesses, and showing them the same loyalty and support that they have shown all of us throughout these struggles and difficult times. “We had never been here before but since it was close to our Happy Valley area Hotel, we decided to give it a try. Not too difficult and probably just about the right length(well too long for my wife!)for our 60+ year old legs. We did a combination of two trails, the Hawk and Desert trails. Nice scenery and pretty well maintained. Nice trail head rest area as well.”

“Pine Towers is a city owned, federally subsidized (HUD) apartment complex for the elderly and handicapped. The complex is managed by the City of Phoenix and facility managers rotate in and out on a rather arbitrary basis (the current manager has just rotated out after four years). Its location is convenient to many stores and it is closely situated to a bus stop on Thomas Rd at 36 St. upon which buses run east and west every fifteen minutes throughout the day. The complex is in transition as many apartments are in the process of being renovated. The building is safe (card access system), clean, and well maintained by its in-house maintenance staff. There is a city-managed community center on location in which scheduled functions take place. A small library/computer area and media room are located within the community center. The tenant population is highly diverse in ethnicity and age and a sense of community is somewhat lacking due to these pronounced differences - which is further exacerbated by a lack of familiar and meaningful communication between management and the community at large. Most of the tenants keep to themselves and are generally respectful of their neighbors. Pets are allowed for a small monthly fee and there are designated curbing areas for dogs. Smokers are required to attend outdoor designated smoking areas in compliance with local health codes and federal regulations. Two Resident Assistants act as intermediaries between tenants and staff and are tasked to provide a degree of oversight during the facility manager's absence (e.g. nights, weekends, etc.). In-house laundry facilities are provided for a small monthly fee. A reverse-osmosis water dispensing machine is located on site along with candy and soda vending machines (which are located within the laundry room). There is ample parking for tenants in a secured lot directly adjacent to the apartment building and community center.”
