Hearing test was a little uncomfortable but the technician made the time pleasant. Dr. MacKechnie was very professional and thorough while being personable. She listened and answered questions regarding my balance problems and prescribed the right medication for my ears as a past ENT Dr. had not and I've had this for a while. I appreciate being at ease. “Dr Burgio saved me a couple years ago. I went to 3 different ENT doctors in New Mexico and Colorado. I did so many tests you can’t believe it. I took multiple rx’s One even popped my eardrum. I had intense pain in my inner ear area and heard static. No one fixed it. Granted it took multiple visits but he figured it out. We tried popping the eardrum and injected steroid multiple time to no avail. I did some MRI’s and CT Scans with other doctors so he used those. He gave me pain meds which didn’t work. But he didn’t give up. He finally figured out I might have this crazy neuralgia I had never even heard of and referred me to Mayo neurology. I saw a doctor there who diagnosed me the same as him. Now I take another RX that helps the pain and static. It doesn’t completely fix it but makes it tolerable. It turns out I have a compressed nerve in my brain. If Dr Burgio hadn’t kept digging for answers I don’t know what I would’ve done. I was in constant terrible debilitating pain and pain meds didn’t help. I appreciate him more than words can say.”
