“My two small children (infant/ 3's) attended McCormick Preschool. You will not find a more caring staff with a lower turnover rate amongst them in the valley. The teachers genuinely cared about my kids and embraced them. All the perks of a small/non-corporate daycare come with McCormick: flexible policies, compassion for specific/extenuating circumstances, and a tight-knit community. All the teachers and staff were familiar with my kids-- not just the teachers in their assigned rooms. It is a casual and fun environment, and I'm glad my kids got to spend so much time there. (As an added perk, It's also the best priced facility we found and there was no silly "registration" fee)”

“The concept and execution here is fantastic. My daughter absolutely loved coming here for her classes. For young kids, movement and rhythm and repetition is very exciting, and it was pretty incredible for us to watch as our daughter started recognizing the songs and understanding what to do. Even when schools were closed, we did the online classes and the staff did a wonderful job adapting.”

“Looking back, I had an amazing time at Cactus Shadows (and in the Cave Creek Unified School District). CSHS has an amazing group of students who all care about each other and there is a strong community feel. All of the events put on by student council and the football games were amazing. I feel like a few areas the school can improve upon is acquiring (and advocating) for more technology use in classrooms like many other surrounding districts (Peoria Unified, Paradise Valley Unified and Scottsdale Unified). The school implemented a "No Phone Zone" policy in the 2017-2018 school year that only makes it feel like they are advocating for LESS technology use which is NOT preparing students for the future. That aside, some teachers prefer to only handout outdated packets to teach, while others (overall a majority of them) are engaging with the class and truly care about helping you succeed. At the end of the day: Dispute the high class sizes, the teachers do their best to individually help you and truly care about your success. The administration is willing to listen to students and consider their input. The school has a good (although it could be better) selection of courses and has a really good CTE program. You won't regret sending your student to Cactus Shadows or any school in the Cave Creek Unified School District. My overall experience in the district has been outstanding and I'm very happy I had the chance to attend their schools and Cactus Shadows in particular.”

“Wow, what a place! MMA school has become part of the family. The staff and school principal welcomed us with open arms, a wide smile and a warm hug. This is the perfect place for my daughter. The MMA school contains a kitchen which provides every day a hot and nutritious meal from organic ingredients, it calms me down as a mom. The amazing staff is very caring, warm, sociable and relaxing and knows how to give the best care for my daughter. Highly recommend!!”

“Sonoran Sky in Scottsdale is a wonderful, challenging and nurturing environment. We are extremely happy with this school. Pros: The Principal is warm and very engaged. The PTO is extremely active and focused on supporting the teachers and students. They just approved funding a dedicated science lab and a separate outdoor classroom. The school focuses on teaching the individual child and works very hard to make sure each student is being appropriately challenged. They also devote time to character building. The teachers are very experienced and work as a team - so you get a whole staff educating your child not just one teacher. When you walk through the halls - they know you and your child. There is a full-time nurse and numerous full-time gifted options at all grade levels. Diverse student body. The enrichment programs are amazing. Dedicated "specials" teachers in art, music, P.E. and technology are phenomenal. Cons: There are no windows in classrooms and I wish they had longer recesses and/or more P.E. Foreign language is not a part of the standard curriculum (but, it is offered as an enrichment)”

The learn through play style is less structured than some programs, but our kids thrived and were well prepared for kindergarten.
