As for George's yummy Thrifty Ice Cream Bar up front....Brings me back a bit to grade school days in California. I would ride my schwinn cruiser up to our local Thrifty to treat myself to a scoop or two of ice cream on a sugar cone. Sadly, to no avail on this particular beautiful sunny day, got back on my bike and the perfect scoop fell off the cone straight to the asphalt in the parking lot. Boo! So, I actually took my embarassed self back inside to the ice cream counter with the most depressed, saddened look on my face. Hoping for that one sympathetic manager that perhaps could identify, Lol! Simpler times, the manager of the store actually had the heart to kindly give me another. The reason in sharing this story, is that George reminds me in ways of that store manager back in the day. Always, genuine, giving and kind to all his customers and it really serves as a great example to all people out there that we can change a persons day in a good way and give out positive energy. There are some strict guidelines regarding adoption, and regular grooming at the location, but I understand the rescue needs to ensure on the well-being of the bird. I can sort of understand her being bit less understanding to some folks without bird experience, as it's almost normal for people to underestimate the amount of time, energy, and clean up a bird can bring. The bird hasn't been harmed by her grooming like some reviews claim on here. Not a paid review, I don't get any kick back, I just see quite a bit of harsh reviews on a place I've had a good time at, so I thought I'd weigh in.”

“I spoke with Jan a few months ago regarding a radiator. I wish I could get service like this everywhere, definitely much more helpful than most. I ultimately purchased from Napa online as there was a 20% off and free delivery deal that made the name brand radiator competitive with lower quality or possibly counterfeit units found elsewhere. But it was the helpfulness of the staff and willingness to source the part that made me choose Napa. Update: Not sure why the owner of the store feels this was not the experience they wanted me to have. If the concern is why did I buy online instead of at the store, I forgot to mention that at the time I called there was a shortage and the Denso I wanted wasn't immediately available. A week or so later it came available online with 20% discount and free delivery, saving me a long trip. I do hope this does not reflect poorly on the staff, I think they're the best. Everyone I met or interacted with, from the owner (Mark), Head Technician (also Mark), pool techs and office personnel were knowledgeable and friendly. Communication is GREAT! A few years ago, MEH and Poolwerx merged. I am happy to say that nothing has changed on our end. Although the company is much bigger (Congratulations!), we are treated like family and are still working with many of the same employees for all these years. “About a month ago, I contacted Kim at HIS Lighting to come over and see what he could do to improve the lighting at my home in Ironwood Village. I was not happy with my 20 year old lighting and felt I deserved a new take on my property. Kim came by and within a couple hours, came up with a plan for 16 new lights; 7 on the front of the house and 9 in the back. About two weeks ago, Kim was back with his team and gave my home an update I am still trying to adjust to. The entire house has changed, and with our restrictions keeping our neighborhood dark, I have had nothing but compliments and raves about what the lights have added to my property. My sister Judy and I are so pleased with the results. I recommend Kim and his team if you are looking to make a change to the status quo.
