“What can I say about this hidden gem.. it’s truly hidden of sorts. Went on a Wed afternoon 4-5pm. Less than a handful of people walking around. Initially had a hard time finding parking since parking on Whitestone Expy is allowed after 6pm. After circling the park, realized I had no choice but to park on the Expy service road. I would say it doesn’t feel like the safest place to be with trucks parked there. Don’t know what kind of people are hidden in there. Used the rink for hockey practice for about and hour. Would go back with more people but probably not again just the two of us!”

“If you are a family and or a person that likes to go on hikes, then Estrella is the place for you! There are miles of trails to choose from with difficulty levels from very easy to difficult. If you don't want to hike, but maybe have a family celebration or just a lunch, you can do that too! There are many covered areas that have bench tables in them. Will it cost you money? Yes For a car load of people it was $7 For a group of us and hours of entertainment that's a great price. ***Prices may very due to activities or vehicle size *** I highly recommend this park”

“The gardening is superb in layout and selections. The information is sparse to none. It is possible for people to not know they are in the zeriscape or why or how. It was a beautiful day in the low 89s. The neighboring dog park had a lot of people coming, going or enjoying the unleashed dog park. I was in the zeriscape for 30 minutes and didn't see 10 people on a fall Sunday afternoon.”

“Went with a group of 10. Great experience overall. Each airsteam is newly renovated. I loved having my private bathroom and kitchen area. Definitely recommend to bring your own food so you don't have to go anywhere! Each airstream also has their own cute patio with a little fire. They had games for us to play and bikes to ride. This was perfect for a bigger group, we also had kids under 2 with us and it was great to have them close by at night. Wifi is also available. I also went in January, chilly but each airstream had heaters.This was such a cute little hidden gem to find in Schnepfs farm!”

“On a recent trip to the saguaro day use I was very happy to see the picnic tables had very nice views of the superstition mountains. The tables do provide some shade and there are water fountains and restrooms conveniently located in the day use area. There is access to some of the trails in the park. The day use area is within the Lost Dutchman State Park and there was a $10 fee for using the area.”

“Closed (even though the USDAFS shows open). Google navigated our minivan down a dirt forest road through some sweet 4x4 trails bypassing the main road closure (that we didn't know included this area) and when we got to needle rock recreation area it looked like the Walking Dead with everything overgrown and no one around. It was kinda cool if I'm being honest but didn't want to get towed so I let the kids catch some butterflies and caterpillars then we left.”

“This is truly one of the best parks around. The lake is great to fish in, to hang out by and to walk around. The playground is great for little ones and for bigger kids. The library is right there too. This is a great one stop place for a family to spend the day. Also a great way to cool off on these hot days. Its nice to go out and pick up a lunch or dinner and have a picnic there and just enjoy all the park has to offer”

“This will always be the best place to hike!!! SO MANY trails to choose from. Be careful though, Some parts of the trail have been swept away from the rain. Always very green & shaded always cool sights to see!! From being by the water, all the different plants, To Wild horses, lizards, bunny’s, even some snakes (not poisonous).The amount of butterflies in this area is insane!!! I love this place & recommend to everyone.”
