Brown Mountain

Address: Tucson, AZ 85743, USA

Park

“Great place to stretch the legs and soak up some sun. Took about two and a half hours to hike the Brown Mtn loop which follows the ridge line and goes along the northeast side of the mountain. Amazing alien landscape. All the plants are way too big and could easily kill or maim you if you were to try anything funny. Giant needles for days.”

“Google maps is not accurate on the directions. As soon as you pull in, take the first right. Don't go straight. It's like a cul-de-sac. There's No "park " / "equipment to play on." Wear closed toe shoes, sneakers, tennis shoes etc. The wood chips vary in size and are not flip-flop friendly. Great variety of equipment. Nice shaded area.”

David Yetman West Trailhead

Address: 6475 W Gates Pass Rd, Tucson, AZ 85745, USA

Parking Local government office Park

“The trail is nice. Signage is not always easy to see so it is not always easy to stay on the trail. Another issue to keep in mind is that taking the trail will outlet you to an alternate trail head and you cannot hike back up the road as a short cut to where you parked since there is no shoulder on the road. I had no signal on my phone so no Uber and it was dipping in to the 50s when I finished. So you will need to make the roundtrip to get back or find someone willing to drive you 10 mins back to the other trail head. Great sunset though.....”

North Santa Cruz Park

Address: 14455 S Rancho Sahuarita Blvd, Sahuarita, AZ 85629, USA

Park

“Great park. There's actually not that many people that go here besides actual families and the occasional skateboarder, and everything is in good condition.”

“We stayed in the Oasis area of the campground in early April. Beautiful section with spacious, paved sites. Bathhouses we’re immaculate. Nice private bathroom with shower. We loved it here so much we booked two weeks next year. Nice dog parks; one small one large. The only problem we had is on our last night two aggressive Dalmatians who were in the dog park. The owners did not have control of them and we had to leave with our golden retriever. Otherwise it was a very nice visit.”

Venati Kirikumar MD

Address: 1510 W Commerce Ct, Tucson, AZ 85746, USA

Doctor Health Park

“This was such an amazing beach! A most see park, my suggestion if to be there really early, because the line to enter can get ridiculously long real quick. We got to the park around 9 am on a Sunday morning. There were only two cars in line. We were able to secure a really good spot on the beach for our two cars, our tent, and our grill. In this beach park you can go to the main huge beach, or go to the more mellow beach to the side, and also you can set up your camp site if you reserved the spot. We had a really great time, the weather was perfect, the water was a bit on the cold site, but that was to be expected. Not summer yet! They have a couple of portable bathrooms within 2 minutes walk from the entrance to the beach. The beach and places around are well taken cared of. You have to pay to get in, and if you are a Military Veteran, then you only pay have the price. Entrance is not very expensive (I can not remember exactly how was it was.) Also, the have food carts that come by and park by the cars for the day, so you can buy different foods here. Beautiful beach!”

Copper Creek Park

Address: 11800 N Copper Spring Trail, Oro Valley, AZ 85737, USA

Park

“This is one of the finest neighborhood parks anywhere. It starts with outstanding views of Pusch Ridge and the Catalina's. Carries on through the well maintained play area best suited for toddlers through about 8 or 10 years old. Swings, slides, rockets and climbing toys with shade sails for most equipment. Covered picnic tables and all surrounded by lush desert vegetation. Usually uncrowded, and with plenty of parking. The only flaw is that the bathrooms are frequently (usually?) locked and the drinking fountains are on a similar schedule. Be prepared.”

Jesse Owens Park

Address: 400 S Sarnoff Dr, Tucson, AZ 85710, USA

Park

“Really nice little park. It has a pool, lots of sports fields and lots of nice little areas for birding. There are restrooms, ramadas and picnic tables. Even though there were several sports games going on and people walking dogs I was still able to bird and get some good Birds.”

Sahuarita

Address: 375 W Sahuarita Center Way, Sahuarita, AZ 85629, USA

Park Car repair

“You see, this is not a park, or the daycare center it appears to be. It is the entire town of Sahuarita, compressed into a single room.”

Fantasy Island Mountain Bike Park (North)

Address: 9500 E Irvington Rd, Tucson, AZ 85730, USA

Park

“This was my first time here. The trails are awesome and depending on where you go provide something for everyone. I was not able to ride most of it in an hour and a half, but did make a point to ride on both the north and south sides. The south side is generally flatter with fast and flowing trails that tend to be smoother. The north side has a bit of that and a bunch of technically challanging trails that go in and out of washes to provide a good mix of up and down. Most trails are one direction to allow faster speeds without worrying about running into someone going the opposite direction. Over all this is a great place to ride regardless of your skill level. Bring plenty of water and stay hydrated.”

Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum

Address: 2021 N Kinney Rd, Tucson, AZ 85743, USA

Zoo Aquarium Museum Park

“Had a really great time this afternoon. I love the desert loop, I get to walk out in nature before returning to the paved paths my family prefers. A win-win. It's a great place to see, whether or not you live in Tucson. It's not solely a tourist destination. I only rated 4 stars because the price is steep. Maybe consider age, residency, etc. My 3 year old is too young to absorb the experience the way we do. I was surprised we had to pay that much for him. I'm sure the money is all for a good cause and as an animal lover, I'd rather my money goes here but at these prices I think I'll only visit once a year.”

PURPLE HEART PARK

Address: 9800 E Rita Rd, Tucson, AZ 85747, USA

Park

“I love this park. It's big enough that you can wander and has some good spots to sit and read the newspaper or a book.”

FRANCISCO ELIAS ESQUER PARK

Address: 1415 N 14th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85705, USA

Park

“One of my favorite spots to walk around and watch the birds tell a story.”
