“This Catalina Hardware store lives up to the ACE brand. I come from White Bear Lake, MN and in that town, ACE Hardware was and is the Hub. Catalina ACE Hardware has the same qualities. You walk in the store and a staff member is there waiting to greet or help you. These guys and gals are technical, helpful and know where everything is in the store. When I was looking for a Weber Natural gas grill, I checked all the bigger hardware stores in Oro Valley/Tucson, then called Catalina ACE and spoke to the manager Steve because I wanted to shop locally. His price was competitive and he knew the answers to my questions. A week later he arrived with the grill and cover and expertly installed it in my back patio. This was July 2019. Then recently I struggled with a lamp and shade purchased in Colorado 15 yrs ago. This is not an ordinary lamp, so I bought some parts on my own at this ACE and tried to fix it, but I'm not that good at it so I asked a staff member who told me to bring in the shade, which I did. Such a busy store nearly every time I am there, but I left my lamp/shade, Steve and staff fixed it and called me an hour later to pick it up. We folks living in SaddleBrooke and SaddleBrooke Ranch are very fortunate to have this ACE Catalina Hardware and many people here comment how much they appreciate and "go to" this store. Mr. Etchen has installed a new hot water heater, replaced an outdoor faucet, wrapped pipes for the winter, installed a new kitchen faucet, and, today, he repaired a toilet and a shower head. He has done everything to perfection. “I've lived here over a year and it is amazing, you really get what you pay for! The staff is all great, especially Samuel, our maintenance guy! To address some of the other reviews: We were worried about parking based on other reviews but it hasn't been an issue even with our 2 cars. Trash can get a little full on holiday weekends but they do a great job keeping the grounds clean and manicured. Some reviews mention that they were "assigned" a unit by management, this is so inaccurate. No rental place assigns units, you ask them which are available and you can pick. I made a point to scout out the vacant locations before picking. The pool is open 24 hours which is great for us and we have never witnessed a rowdy party there or even more than 5 people at once. Overall a great place to call home!”

“When we were interviewing realtors and spoke to Laura, she told us she felt we should price our home at the very top of where the market was at the time - $20k higher than other realtors were recommending. In order to achieve that price, she gave us the list of what we would need to do. She also showed us her team’s marketing resources and past sales statistics, demonstrating that she knew what she was talking about. She and her team are the top realtor in Oro Valley and one of the best in Tucson. As a result, we made the decision to list with her. We are so happy we did! To start with, we were managing the sale process from out-of-state, and there are a number of things we would need to have done to the house pre-listing. Laura gave us great advice; had a list of vetted service providers she could refer us to in each of the area where we needed help and a strong administrative staff (thank you Deb!) to help us coordinate the work. It took us several weeks to get all the work done (during which time the scale of the Corona-virus issue became clear). In any case, the house looked great at the end of the process and Laura’s marketing team captured everything that was best about the property in their photography and marketing materials. This is so critical at a time when online information is so important to buyers, and, for us, at a time when most folks were wanting to limit their exposure to the outside world. Within 48 hours of listing the property, mid-crisis, we had multiple, above list price offers. Unfortunately, issues arose, and the first offer we accepted did not work out. However, Laura and her team helped us solve all the issues, re-listed us, at an even higher price, and once again had an above list-price offer within a day. This one stuck. “I hired Tom Campbell with Long Realty to sell our house in May 2017. I have been through the house selling/buying process five times in my life. It can be tedious and stressful. Having a good agent makes everything so much easier. Tom Campbell far surpassed my best expectations by getting four contract offers for $3,400 over market value within 24 hours of listing the property. In my experience that doesn’t happen through luck. After the sale, I went back and researched an online service’s comparables to make sure I hadn’t sold the property for too little. According to the information I found, Tom far outdid all of the agents who sold comparable houses in that neighborhood in the past year. He outperformed them by anywhere from $2,500 to almost $20,000. Here is just one example: Two months prior, an agent sold an almost identical house to ours for $11,000 below the online service’s price. It was in a better location, and had nicer upgrades than ours. We were at the disadvantage yet Tom outperformed that agent by almost $15,000. When I hired Tom I didn’t ask for a discount commission rate. I wanted a professional working for me, and I believe in paying people what they are worth. However, as it turns out, he basically paid his own fees with the high sale price he got for our house. His commission rate was effectively less than 0% in comparison to the other agents. He gave us extremely good service, and yet we walked away with more money in our pockets than if we had selected a discount agent. While all the other agents discounted home prices to make the sale, Tom just did a great job, proving that paying for quality is often the cheapest route (and the fastest also.) Tom Campbell has earned all my future business and enthusiastic referrals!”

Before we even listed the home officially, we met with Al and he told us what we needed to do before we listed.
