“We were running some errands on the east side and felt like a late dinner. We Googled steak houses on east side. We were way east, Rita east. We figured there would be some out that way, but The Horseshoe Grill came up. We saw great reviews, so we decided to check it out. Boy are we happy we did. We were seated promptly. The staff is friendly, quick and checked in often. Isaac was our server and he was great. He had recommendations and smiled and joked often. If I could give this place a 10, I would. The restaurant has great ambience and has a great country western feel. My girlfriend wanted their Playlist. I had the Porterhouse, and the she had the T-Bone. I got mine medium-rare and she got hers medium. Both cooked to perfection!! Thank you for a wonderful dinner and night out.”

“This place is amazing!!!! The “mr shrimp oysters” and cucarrachas are my favorite. The atmosphere is loud because they have music playing and karaoke but it is my new favorite restaurant. We’ve been only twice and have had the same waitress for a group of 8 and then 4, and she handled our orders and requests like a champ. Food comes out quick and hot.”

“Although it's not the same as it once was and stopped coming here several years, we gave it another shot today because the other ones we tried are awful. We only had the won ton soup and dumplings, but it was super good so had the pork fried rice too which was super good. I definitely missed the scallions in the soup that no one else seems to do, they use carrots. Missing are the slivers of pork in the soup but that's everywhere, but wontons are plenty and not chicken which is nasty, pork won tons. Very filling. Very good. One complaint. NO TEA. Not very friendly and cold atmosphere, but who cares I guess if you've been ISO a good soup. Enjoy.”

“This was our first time going to Nino's Mexican Restaurant. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile, and even though they were packed, we were immediately sat at one of the two-seater dining tables. The inside was cheery, and pretty clean. By the time we had placed our order there was already a line of people waiting to be seated. Obviously it's a popular place! The food was served hot, and it was very tasty. The guacamole was perfectly seasoned and the chimichanga was all meat! No filler, no rice shoved in there, no tomatoes and peppers to take up space of the meat. It was delicious! We had food to take home as the portion sizes are very nice. We also had an extra appetizer with some bean dip so got a little full from that. Our iced teas were filled, with great customer service, and the busboys and waitress were phenomenal. If you're looking for some delicious food, great service, and very good prices, this is an amazing Mexican food restaurant to try. Due to the location you might have a few minutes wait, but it's worth it. Totally kid friendly, casual, and a good vibe in here.”

“No one wanted to cook, so this was the restaurant we chose to dine at. We were welcomed by a pleasant greeter and seated. Our waiter showed up timely, and was very cheerful, patient, and accommodating to our needs. Our food was fresh, served hot, and nothing was over-cooked. Even the orange juice had a great just squeezed taste! The atmosphere was quiet and we were able to chat while having a great breakfast dining experience. I gave 5 stars for the totality of the experience, not just for the food. NOTE: There was a selection of fresh pies as soon as you enter the restaurant that looked fantastic, however we didn't purchase one. But you might just want to take a look to see if something catches your eye, for a family dinner or dinner party.”

“Remember that tv show from the 70's called "Alice"? The diner from that show was about a half mile from where my family and I stayed in Phoenix. We enjoyed a nice breakfast and excellent service from the friendly staff at Mel's Diner. The walls are lined with coffee mugs signed by guests and the menus feature photos of the cast. Fun visit and good old fashioned diner food. The biscuits and gravy are just okay. Hash browns could be crispier. Chicken fried steak and corned beef hash were excellent as well as the coffee. The service is great. Would visit again!”
