“This is a little piece of history within Fremont. Once the site of one of the most important commercial nurseries in California, it still has many unique trees and shrubs. There is an amazing rose garden with a wide variety of colorful blooms. There is also a restored adobe building on site. It is a great place to walk, and you'll see an amazing variety of wildlife, including raptor and many bird species. It is open from dawn to dusk and there is free parking.”

“Deaf Plus Adult Community organization has been volunteering at LEAF and our lovely leader for our group was Lisa Wilis. She is beyond amazing, she is able to communicate and work with my Deaf Disabilities consumers. They all adore Lisa, her warmth, supportive, patience, positive relationship and lastly they all loved when she bring the homemade goodies that she baked at home. They are delicious as well. We are very thankful for the positive enhance experiences we had with Lisa and LEAF Gardens.”

“There are great paths to hike around the lakes. I like to bike over to the island to get really nice views of the surrounding park. I recommend biking over on the Alameda Creek Trail. From there, I usually go back to Niles or Vallejo Mills area. I really like that this park is easily accessible from the Alameda Creek Trail...you do not need a car to get there. At Quarry Lakes you can also go fishing and swimming.”

“Beautiful little park. Quietly, tucked away behind the busyness of Pacific Commons. Great place to walk your dog, have a picnic or just take in the beauty of the area.”

“Frequent visit this trail. Rolling hills are beautiful this time of year, given the rains. Took heed of rising reservoirs compared to weeks ago. Admired the blooming rare fruit trees in the orchard grove - a site to see. A refreshing morning activity, good experience. Recommend as a easy leisure trail to hike/walk. Mostly gravel trail.”

“Surprising to find a park of this size in the middle of an older neighborhood. It is not fantastical in any way but has large fields with many sidewalks good for walking dogs. The grounds are generally well kept and green year round.”

“This place is super beautiful. spent half day there today. Especially during Jan to March when there are a lot of water and the mountains are green. Bunch of wild lives, flowers. The trails are good for hiking or biking, family friendly. Entry is $5. There are a lot of parking space inside. Some people park outside of the park and walk in.”

“A nice, accessible park. There are 2 main sections of the park. One takes you through some small hills and to the edge of the bay. This area is pretty with expansive views and lots of water fowl. The other area is marshy and while it had more limited views it is still quite pretty. We have seen foxes, otters and lots of birds in the marshy parts of the park.”
