Last night had to call the BART cops after a deranged man threatened our entire car. Within two stops, the police met the train and escorted the person off the train with restraint and respect. Not all police are perfect - some are great, some are horrible, like all people - but I was grateful for them last night, and you could not pay me enough to do that job.
Their police officers are very nice people.
Today, someone was inside my dad's car when I arrived at the bart parking area that's why I decided to call them and go back to the bart station for I was so scared. Just a few minutes and they are already there in the area and they were able to locate the person and detain him. I'm very thankful that they responded quickly and that they are very helpful and professional.
Great people with very difficult jobs. Most of the comments here are ridiculous and inaccurate. BPD is a great group of people saddled with mostly unrealistic expectations to solve crimes that society itself can’t solve. Homelessness...really?? They can only do what they can do. One bad apple doesn’t spoil the bunch. Simple. My interactions have been normal and positive. AND ...they can’t be everywhere at once.
