“There are 2 playgrounds in this park one for children 2-5 years with the sand box and at the lower level another one for kids over 5, who is willing to climb. It also has a big concrete slide! Don't forget to bring your cardboard with you.”

“Last time I've been here had to be at least 5 years ago since I moved to SJ. My daughter wanted a crepe and I wanted Thai food and this place came to mind. I couldn't believe the size portion of the quality food that we received. Service was super friendly and kept checking up on us and refilling our water. Food came out in a timely manner and definitely coming back!”

“A beautiful and serene place to be with things to do...a children's park, tennis court, and volleyball net.”

“a review from @amom2kidsandapark This park has everything you need and more! With a playground, picnic areas, a rose garden, soccer field, basket ball court, horse shop pits and more, it really feels like the possibility are endless. Along with the soccer and basketball fields/courts there are other recreation options including tennis, shuffle board, baseball and softball. The playground is fairly large. There are two slides (short straight and tube spiral), steps, ladders, the tunnel/ramp bridge seen at other Hayward parks, balance beam, climbing wall, and monkey bars. The play area also has a swing set with standard and bucket swings. The smaller slide is only accessible via ladder. This park has so much grass and if you’re lucky on a hot day you’ll be there when the sprinklers are on. Don’t miss the rose garden and statue in front of the historic house. There are two small parking lots off of Tennyson but street parking on Darwin gets you closed to the playground. There are bathrooms near the ball fields.”

“It's great. A nice place to walk around the water. Lots of ducks. The date 9/19/21 massive die off of fish lake smells nasty. You can see fish trying to get oxygen by opening their mouths and gulping air.”

“My family has been coming here for nearly 40+ years, and have camped in a variety of sites. We've camped on the top and bottom. The bottom sites are electric, and half the top sites are electric (no water hookup). The staff mainly keep to themselves but the ones I've encountered have been very kind. There are multiple playgrounds and 3 ponds to fish in. There are tennis courts, basketball courts, picnic shelters, and multiple hiking trails. One of our favorite things to do is go down to the creek, and build rock dams to redirect the water through the large culvert pipes. Quiet time is 11pm which people abide by most of the time. It's hit or miss but the park rangers and sheriff drive through almost nightly. The bathrooms are relatively clean but the shower water pressure is lacking in some buildings. Overall, it's a great place to spend time with family and relax on a camping trip.”

“Plenty of shaded grassy area and nice tables and benches for picnics. Cute little playground that is partly shaded. Cute duckies. Awesome view of trees reflected on the lake. Some really cool looking trees with roots that look like a nest of snakes. Paved walkway. Just wish the walkway was more shaded. Omg did it get hot in certain parts!”

“This is a really, really nice park. I actually have not seen anything like it. It has a stage area with built in instruments and seating for kids to actually (or pretend) to be hosting a concert. There is a this gadget box "thingy" that plays popular nursery rhymes when you turn it. I should have taken pictures. The only reason I give this park 4 stars instead of 5 is because there was no diversity amongst the kids at play. All of the children look at my son and stared without attempting to engage him. A few even ran to their parent with fear in their face. The kids literally played around him as they appeared to be having a ball and when he attempted to engage, they ran. However, after he seemed to pick up on "not fitting in" he navigated the park on his own and still had a good time. We stayed roughly 3 hours and he still put up a fuss at our departure...he wanted to stay. This park is phenomenal. Great for kids, just needs parents who welcome diversity and encourage children to be kind and inclusive to all.”

“This is an excellent place for hiking if you want tall shade-giving trees on either side of the trails. The trails are very pleasant to walk along during summer. There are many places to sit and picnic. There are also many camping grounds. Plenty of restrooms too.”

“This is my close to my home and have been going here from the past 2 decades. Serene and vast landscape with rolling hills. Green during winter and brown, yet beautiful in Summer. Can walk your dogs and stop at vistas with vast views of the bay. The view was better before all the houses built around in the past few years, but still pretty. It has unique birds that are an ornithologists delight. Go there to calm your mind during weekday mornings or afternoons. Weekend parking can be an issue. Parking near the park entrance is free but you have to walk nearly a mile. Parking inside is $5. Well worth it.”

“I loved this dog park! It was decent size and had poop bags, water hoses, equipment for dogs to play on, and locals have left a pool and dog bowls out for ur fur baby. Theres divided sides for large and smaller dogs. I was traveling and came back three times during our visit. The locals were super friendly too!”

“We had a lovely time at the farm. It’s clean, plenty of space to social distance, and everyone seemed to follow the mask mandate. However, we definitely suggest a worker be present by the animals. This is because people cannot be trusted. On our visit we saw a group of women and their kids feeding grass to goats (despite numerous signs not to do so), throwing feed at the ducks, and chasing and screaming at the chickens (yes, even the grown women). Those poor animals. We said some comments, but that didn’t deter their behavior. We would have asked an employee for help had we seen one. Besides the blacksmith (who was great to speak with), the gentleman at the house, and the ticket booth guy, we didn’t see any workers nearby.”
