“Jagmeet Chann is an extraordinary, compassionate, and wise psychiatrist, which I feel is very rare in the field of psychiatry. Most do not spend time to talk with you, only prescribing pills, but Dr. Chann conducted both talk therapy sessions as well as prescribed the medications that propped me up during my darkest days. She also pointed me in the direction of a practice of meditation, which was the real game-changer. She suggested I read The Power of Now, by Eckhart Tolle, which gave me insight into the nature of the mind, and the first ray of hope that I could experience inner peace. Within six months of daily 10 minute meditation practice, I was completely off the medications for anxiety and depression and I was able to discontinue my sessions and feel hopeful. By about a year into regular meditation practice, I was cured: my happiness and peace are secure no matter what life may bring me. I have been meaning to write this review for a few years now, because I have such appreciation for this pivotal person in my life. I appreciate that she works in a system which is often blind to the cost-free methods that can alleviate human suffering, yet she is a responsible doctor who employs all effective methods for her patients. I am so thankful our community has access to her life-saving services and I give her my highest recommendation. You can trust her to listen deeply to you, to give you the support you need while you begin to incorporate her suggestions and see for yourself how the wisdom can reorient and free you from your pain, and you can trust that she is not just a pill-pusher but someone who understands human suffering and how to become free of this. “Dr. Lester is great! about 10 years ago he did both hip replacements for my mom and shes doing great. I also had arthroscopy knee surgery and he did a great job. Very professional and kind doctor .
