“We were staying at a hotel up the street, and was looking for a walkable place to eat when we saw this Italian eatery. It is a small mom & pop (?) place, where you order at the counter, go sit and they bring your food to you, type place. Not only was the customer service great, but what we had to eat was outstanding!! I had the Linguine & clams…👍🏻👍🏻 My wife had the chicken parmigiana sandwich 👍🏻👍🏻 And our 2 vegetarian friends, had a pizza and eggplant parm sandwich 👍🏻👍🏻 They do have limited beer and wine, plus sparkling water. We will definitely be back next time we are staying in this area!”

“First time here. Not very crowded Sunday night dinner at 5pm. Fast services, you will get your dinner very fast. Everything we ordered are delicious and they can almost make everything in vegetarian style. Portions are large, decent price.”

“You can tell this place has history! It almost feels like a throwback, but in a good way. The food is fantastic, with excellent taste, flavor and ingredients! I live about 200 yards from it and I'm just now experiencing it. It's one of the better Mexican restaurants in the San Gabriel Valley.”

“I've only had the vegetable ramen and it's good. They actually do accept card but will charge you a fee. I thought it was cash only and was surprised to see people ahead of me paying with cards. I think they're info is just outdated online. I wish their menu was available online, not just pictures of it...their *current* menu. Prices may have gone up from what you see online so make sure to ask if you're calling in an order.”

“This restaurant is very bright and clean. It's dim sum service is very good. It's probably one of the the best in Los Angeles. But price is not cheap. Three of us spent a total of a hundred dollars for a Sunday lunch. It's worth every penny.”

“I was there the other day and a wonderful woman Veronica, she was very thoughtful and patient with me. She even helped me choose the best sandwich I’ve had in a while. I trusted her judgment and I can’t wait to go back and have another one!”

“Fish and chips were very good. You have a lot of options: fish, shrimp, oysters, calamari for example. Chinese food is also available. Place is quiet run down looking and the staff doesn't wear a smile on their face full time. However, they are professional, our fish is wonderfully prepared with this, crunchy batter. Hot braised shrimp was as expected with the shrimp being very fresh.”

“Jay-Dee Cafe is opening the restraunt again! So looking forward to seeing how this new chef works out! So far only heard good things about it so give them a call who knows might be the next big foodie stop.”
