My name is Yolanda Gutierrez, a student of Ms.Machiko.

Ms. Machiko is the best piano teacher! She exhibits all the qualities of an excellent piano teacher; patient, gentle, who knows how to teach. She has a great approach when she teaches how to read music and play it with much enjoyment. I’m an oldie student (75 yrs) & tho have a music background, I have many bad habits in playing which result to messy/bad performance. In 3 months, Ms Machiko corrected them; proper finger, rhythm, etc Not once did she criticize my performance; instead, she is rich with kind words fostering my self esteem to continue studying and me putting much effort to practice. It is so much fun playing piano duets with her.
I highly recommend Ms Machiko, a highly skilled certificated piano teacher, to anyone who would want to learn how to play the piano.

My kids love learning piano with Machiko Music! We have been with Machiko music for almost 2 years and my daughters love it! They learned to play piano well and the teacher is very understanding if you need flexibility. I love the time we spent with her! I would highly recommend her!

Ms. Machiko is great with kids. My daughter took piano lessons for 4 years. She's very patient and always encouraging my daughter to have fun learning piano and appreciate art. We've done private lessons with her and group sessions in the past. My daughter started piano lessons when she was 5 years old. I was amazed at how creative she was, incorporating visuals that would capture the interest of a preschooler. She had incentives that kept my daughter's interest and continuously supported her as the lessons got more challenging as she got older. When the classes transitioned to group lessons, it was a nice change that helped my daughter relate to other kids that had the same interest as hers. The students learned at their own pace, but they also had group activities that accommodated varied learning styles. Lessons are now done online due to covid. It's not ideal and with how things are, learning piano is a challenge, my daughter's interest waned down but her love for music remains. I am glad to have discovered Ms. Machiko and for my daughter to learn piano from her at a young age and discovered her potential and let her shine.

Machiko is such a fantastic piano teacher. Our daughter started lessons (initiated by me but of some interest to her) when she was just shy of her sixth birthday, and has now been with Machiko for several months. At first I was a bit hesitant of the group lessons and wanted to find someone to come to our home. But I'm so thankful we found Machiko and that our daughter has been able to form a little community around piano class. She still gets ample one-on-one instruction time and really enjoys learning alongside others. She absolutely has a love of music all because of Machiko. Machiko very much encourages self-motivated playing and no forced practice, which we really love and has suited our daughter well. Machiko also makes piano really fun for younger kiddos, but even manages to squeeze in plenty of theory! And after two full months of "piano via zoom" I am even more impressed by Machiko. She has been tremendous at staying connected to our daughter and making sure she is still excelling--even from a distance. I highly, highly recommend you start classes with Machiko!

Machiko has been a patient and inspiring teacher for my daughter. She has her very own style and approach which fully engages and motivates my daughter. With a willful and quiet child who doesn't like to practice much, it is important for her to feel understood and Machiko does. With Machiko my daughter is both learning and loving piano. We are so grateful to have found her.
