Moon BBQ #3

Address: 3747 Foothill Blvd, La Crescenta, CA 91214, USA

Restaurant

“I live very close by and I’ve enjoyed Korean home cooking since birth. I believe all these negative reviews are from competitors or people who know nothing about Korean cuisine let alone how to run a restaurant. There are several Korean places to dine on Foothill and Moon BBQ is hands down the best and you don’t have to drive all the way to Korea town which is ridiculous. I’ve dined at high end dinners and found foreign material in my food, never at Moon BBQ. Apparently most of these bad reviews sound like they want their every need kissed and pampered with service as if they’re royalty. Restaurants have to put up with a lot of rudeness and disrespect yet the customer wants perfection. If you feel it’s too expensive then you don’t know how to order. The idea of being a restauranteur is to make a profit to pay the bills and send their kids to college. Not give away food for whatever the customer think they should pay or monopolize a needed table. Customers don’t think about how much overhead it takes and I assume the rent is high being in La Crescenta. Plenty of parking, I’ve never been forced to leave a tip (the reviewer is right out lying obviously) . I review all my bills when I eat out, even at In and Out. Of course waiters can make a mistake but it’s on you to catch it. Meat is above average and plentiful with just the right amount of fat for tabletop bbq. The condiments, ohhhh the condiments, you know those little dishes with different radishes, fish cake, sprouts, Kim Chee, pickled greens. I believe you have to order seaweed wraps. Those alone will fill me up and with the best probiotics stated in medical journals. I haven’t tried the noodles yet but it's winter and pretty cold as far as L.A. standards. The Korean Noodles and spices are just the cure for cold weather blues. I remember twice my party was given soggy Kim chee at 2 different Korean dinners in K town because they thought we didn’t know the difference between fresh and soggy. This doesn’t happen at Moon. Moon’s Kim Chee I trust is homemade and fresh, very convincing if it’s not. I highly recommend 6 stars for price and quality of food. And this is from an all American half Korean born in S. Korea. A couple times I saw people (Korean) with open sandals and they picked their feet. Moon should put up a sign about that but I dine out for enjoying foods I can’t cook at home, not to give bad reviews. I am not an employee nor do I socialize with any of the employee’s.”
