“I was at the Sports Complex (in Glendale, CA) this morning, watching my niece play soccer, and I began to feel nauseous and overwhelmed by the heat. Mostly I felt nauseous (like motion sickness). I moved to the shade, drank water, and thought I was just going to throw up and sit back down. In the end, I passed out!!! Now, I have a bump on the back of my head (larger than a golf ball), and other aches and pains are showing up. I’m home still wondering why it happened??? Why was today any different than all of the other days that I’ve played in the sun with children and attended soccer games, etc.??? This awesome team, Matt, Chris, Steve, and Carlo, from Station 24, took excellent care of me. They were very professional, so kind, and impressively compassionate and courteous. Thank you ALL so very much! I appreciate your team and your dedication to serve and care for others: helping the helpless when they need someone the most.
