North Valley Veterinary Center And Boarding

We took our 13 year old pug in for a visit because he was having issues urinating. After taking X-rays he found that our baby had a bladder and urethra full of stones. We had to wait for blood work to see if he was a good candidate for surgery. While waiting Dr. Zucker and his team checked on pukk to make sure he was still okay.

When we received the results. He was good as far as his kidneys and liver but had a sever infection. So we went to get antibiotics to get the infection to go down before surgery, but within a few hours he got worse and wasn’t getting any pee out at all. So the vets office said bring him in. When we met with Dr. Zucker again he was very clear about what to expect and compassionate as the worse case scenario was not one we wanted but we had to know it was a possibility due to Pukks age.

They took him in, and worked on him for hours! They stayed super late, even though they didn’t need to. And took amazing care of Pukk. He is doing great and thriving. Even better than before his urine became an issue. They want to know how he is doing, and check in on him frequently. Even after his surgery, they still care about how he is doing.

The team in the front are absolutely amazing. And a special shout out to Eddie Going in there constantly with our sick fur baby, and rowdy 4 and 6 year old, they helped on multiple occasions calm my kids down. Whether they were hot, they brought cold water and brought them pens and paper to keep them occupied.

We are so very thankful for their help and being there for us when we needed them the most.

We first went to North Valley Veterinary in February when one of our cats had a urinary blockage they were absolutely amazing. They took him in right away, explained all the procedures, and gave him amazing care. Last week we thought one of our other cats had broken his tail. We immediately called them and they were able to get him in right away. Turns out he just had an abscess. They treat us like family explaining everything, treating our animals as if they are their own, I wouldn’t take any of my fur babies anywhere else!

Compassionate, Caring, Considerate, Gentle, Kindhearted, Humane, Thoughtful, Professional, Competent....are just some of the words that best describe North Valley Veterinary Center. I highly recommend this office if you are in need of a Vet. I am so impressed with the staff (technicians, doctors, front desk) especially Dr. Zuker and Kirsten! Thank you for making it a peaceful gentle passing for our dog, Bubba. So very grateful for taking the time to help us with this extremely sad day.

My wife and I have six canine babies. Living in Kern County has many benefits for raising our canine children. Unfortunately, having a quality Veterinary Clinic nearby is not one of the benefits. We recently took our two young Cocker babies to North Valley in Lancaster for Spay and Microchip. From the first time we walked into this clinic, we experienced a level of compassion and professionalism that we have never seen at any other Veterinary Clinic. We were blessed to have Dr. Hirshbein and Omar performing the surgery on these two little babies. Our Canine babies are our whole world. The kind and compassionate way that we were treated, in addition to the beautiful work performed on these two babies definitely makes the fifty mile drive well worth it! Doing business with Kerstin at the front counter was one of the most pleasant experiences ever! I truly wish that I could give this Clinic much more than five stars! God bless you North Valley.
