The Sisters Cafe Vietnamese & Asian Fusion (PHO)

Address: 5910 Sunset Blvd Unit A, Los Angeles, CA 90028, USA

Restaurant

“This is a great Vietnamese restaurant on Sunset. I had eaten lunch at a Thai place earlier. But, I wanted to try a couple of dishes here. So, I stopped in for a snack. I really wish I had been very hungry. I can’t give a full review of food simply because I just had these spring rolls and some Vietnamese coffee. But, based on what I did try, I know everything else is delicious. I used to live in California. But, now I’ve moved away. I do visit LA often. I’ll definitely come back in here to try the pho.”

Placita Cafe

“So upset with myself for not trying this place sooner. The enchiladas were tasty and very filling. I loved that they used real greens on the side instead of iceberg like most places. You really can’t beat their prices either. I had a bite of my boyfriend’s grilled asada burrito and it was deliciousss. We picked up a couple of juices and they were so fresh and satisfying. We were given an extra juice for the wait which was really kind and generous. We will absolutely return!”

Enough food with every plate. You will not leave here hungry. They have plenty of seating in this corner restaurant. Plenty of drinks to choose from, including aguas frescas and alcoholic beverages. Recommend the Agua de Jamaica.”

République Café Bakery & République Restaurant

Address: 624 S La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036, USA

Bakery Cafe Store Restaurant

“Our #1 dinner venue, impressive wine list, delicious food, and friendly services. Tom, our server, was patient and professional, going through in details the sharing style and recommended many dishes. What was greatly appreciated was his consideration of our appetite (ordering too much?) and timing. The sommelier is also professional, knowledgeable, and helpful considering our preferences. Every dish is a creation of dynamic flavours and contrasting texture using fresh, interesting ingredients. Baguette is delicious too (must order). Venue can get noisy. As for parking, street parking can be challenging, valet is easy ($15).”

King Taco # 9

“Can't really go wrong with King Taco. Always a great option. Al Pastor and Suadero are both 🔥 Asada also on point. Carnitas tacos are good. Tamales are solid for a taco spot.”

Boyle Heights Bar llc

Address: 3717 Whittier Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90023, USA

Night club Restaurant

“Pretty good! Atmosphere here is awesome. Food ingredient quality was a little lacking but the recipes were delicious. Wings, tacos, and beer were all satisfactory, but the price wasn't low enough to warrant some of the subpar produce that showed up on my plate. I'd definitely come back for a drink though, and the tacos were very good. Would visit again.”

“My mother in law and I were around the area looking for something to eat. we saw this place and decided to give it a try . Went in, sat down, and looked at the menu, and my mother in law quickly realized they had food from Puebla. We ordered 4 sopes and a quesadilla . OMG, that first bite says it all it was made with fresh masa aka( resien echa ) it was ssoooo GOOD . We both starred at each other. We were like, "This is our new spot ." I got an asada one chicken and one barrbacoa sope, and all of them we so delicious . I'm definitely coming back with my husband to try other items on the menu . But it's your nearby. “Best Halal beef burgers in LA! Juicy meat with savory sauce and great spices! It will honestly keep you coming back for more burgers. Their fries could be better but overall the food is amazing. I recommend getting pastrami with the burgers. Adds more tenderness to the meat with the fat and more flavor. Absolutely awesome burger place. They have great music taste too !”

Sushi Enya Beverly Hills

Address: 480 S San Vicente Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90048, USA

Restaurant

“1/13/23: The waitress recommended the sushi in particular here (as opposed to the rolls) and she was right. The chu-toro sushi was extraordinary and the halibut was a close second. Also ordered the Lemon Roll and the Crunchy Vegas Roll which were decent but not in the same league as the sushi. I also had the Japanese sponge cake which was good but a bit small in portion. Next time, I'd order the sushi only. 3/4/23: Sat at the bar instead of a table this time (highly recommend the bar so you can watch the chefs) and had the "assorted tempura" (4.25*) and these sushi: Striped mackerel 4.5* Chu toro 4.75* Black cod 4.75* Aburi salmon 4.75* Sawara 4.5* Red snapper 4.75* Sweet corn tempura sushi 4.25*”

Hanabi Sushi Bar

Address: 3954 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90004, USA

Restaurant

“If you are looking for creatively crafted sushi with fresh ingredients, you need to look no further. Each sushi is unique in its own way and the ingredients all work well together to deliver the chef's desired texture and taste while in an appetizing presentation. The ambience is a little dark and seating is not the most comfortable. However, the dinnerware is meticulously matching.”

Also, word on the street is that the family who owns the place is really nice! I have family who make a weekly trip to this place! So good!”

For the Win

Address: 6221 Franklin Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90028, USA

Restaurant

“Double smash cheeseburger - grass fed beef, potato bun, grilled onion, pickles, homemade fry sauce / 5 🌟! Crispy fries with homemade fry sauce / 5 🌟! Here is another outstanding burger place. One thing I love about LA is how many amazing restaurants there are. Burgers are common on a lot of menus but you can also find many places like For The Win where they specialize in classic burgers. The char on the smash burgers was perfect. The addition of their homemade fry sauce gives it a nice flavor and it is served on a fresh potato bun. I love pickles on burgers and they toss a few in. The fries are thin and crispy. Like I've said in other reviews, I love all fries and when they are well made it makes it even tastier. Places that make their own sauces are awesome. I love to dip my fries so I grabbed the sauces. I admit the chicken sandwich on the menu was very intriguing but I wasn't there for the chicken. I will make a return trip to check it out. Parking is easy enough but be forewarned it's right at a popular freeway entrance so be mindful of how you approach their parking lot.”

Cake Girl

Address: 2100 1st St, Los Angeles, CA 90033, USA

Bakery Restaurant Store

“My new fav vegan/dairy free dessert shop!! I feel like a normal person here. Texture and taste were great! Anyone sick of compromising vegan pastries...eating horrible dry texture to singular sugar on top of sugar taste?! Ditto. This place is a savior!! Gluten, wheat, egg, nut, soy, dairy free!! Vegan! $4.50 cupcakes, $1-$3 donuts, $1.50 cookies and more. If you're lucky, there's day old items!! Still delicious and way cheaper!! Takes credit card.”

Mariscos Pata Salada LLC

Address: 3312 E 3rd St, Los Angeles, CA 90063, USA

Restaurant

Burritos La Palma

Address: 2811 E Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90023, USA

Restaurant

“This is not a taco spot however it shows up on many best of LA's taco review blogs and list. We were pleasantly surprised with this spot. The burritos were very neat and folder in a way where they aren't going to bust and get you all messy. We tried the birria bean and cheese, chicharron and Tinga burritos. The birria one was our favorite they are on the smaller size and an order of 2 would be more filling. You pay at the window and then they call your name when ready. They only have 3 tables outside so most orders were being picked up. We will be back when we are back in town.”

Macheen

Address: 2633 E Cesar E Chavez Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90033, USA

Restaurant

“I consider myself a big breakfast burrito connoisseur and make a point to try all the best spots. I was meaning to try this one for a while, and it finally worked out… I have to say the breakfast burritos definitely did NOT disappoint. Tortillas are amazing, the eggs, and Tater tots are well done and I went with the BIRRIA which was also good. However I’m a traditional white boy, my tolerance for spice isn’t very high and it was a bit too spicy for my liking but the burrito was so good that I will go back and try it with another filling soon.”

Casita Del Campo

Address: 1920 Hyperion Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90027, USA

Restaurant

“This is a meat and non meat review! The most surprising part of this restaurant is the Ambience! It doesn't look too appealing from the outside, but once you get inside the gate, a whole New world opens up in front of your eyes. The outside sitting is spacious and beautiful. The tables are made of Mosaic tiles. Beautifully done! Alex, the concierge, is friendly and welcoming! The inside and patios sittings (lol, the bar areas is so dark for some shady activities 😁) is equally stunning and filled with beautiful paintings and artworks! There's a few patios, a bar, an attic for drag show. If you not going for the food, go there for the ambience. The food, typical Mexican cuisine. Not bad. But portion is huge! Be ware! Little stomach eaters! 🥵😵😖 Complementary chips and salsa! Taste fresh! The service, the people there are professionals, friendly, kind, and helpful. Our Waiter, Jesus, is handsome and awesome! He's so cool, but so friendly! Didn't try the drinks! Not a drink person. Go discover this gem in the rough! Have a date with yourself even! Maybe you go single, come home double! You never know.”
