  This was my first visit to Uncle Paulie's. The girl who waited on me was both friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I chose the meatball sandwich. It was fantastic! The meatballs are hand made at the shop. I would strongly recommend this place.

  LA doesn’t do cutlets well - except for this place. The chicken cutlet and eggplant cutlet sandwiches are best in the city.

  Got breakfast sandwich was not happy. Said it came in kaiser roll and it came on a hero. With 1 egg?! Bread to egg ration was not good way to much bread and they must have thrown half a brick of cheese was almost un eatable. I order here a lot the lunch sandwiches are good maybe stay away from the breakfast

  Great addition to the neighborhood. Definitely will be back for the ham egg and cheese and can't wait to try the sandwiches. Please add coffee to the menu and I promise I'll never go to Verve again.

  Uncle Paulie’s is a very welcome addition to DTLA. There’s a void of good deli’s in Los Angeles, especially East Coast style delis. Uncle Paulie’s hits the spot. There’s a small counter inside, and a handful of tables outside.
  I had The Carol - chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella, broccoli rabe, roasted red peppers and a balsamic glaze. I added hot peppers. It was outstanding. The sesame seed bread was crunchy on the outside, and soft inside. The chicken cutlet was crispy and warm, and seasoned perfectly. The broccoli rabe gave it added crunch and some delicious bitterness to offset the sweet of the peppers and balsamic.
  Everything is fresh and made to order.
  The true test will be the egg & cheese breakfast sandwich.
