“Visited Made Solid in Nov. 2018 after seeing the shop in Instagram stories. I didn’t fully know what to expect and was so delighted by what I found. The store is owned and apparently run by a husband/wife team who also do the leather and beading sold in the store. There are some Japanese ceramics, tea, incense and other imports as well as tiles from Mexico and a small selection of cotton tee shirts. The shop is small and lovely. Both owners were out front talking to my friend and I about their pieces. They were very helpful and because they create so much of what they sell, also very knowledgeable. I ended up purchasing a tile and coaster set from Mexico that the owner had backed with his leather as well as sandalwood incense from Japan. I would love to go back for a Japanese tea set and to see their adorable dog Miko. Great for gifts and small home goods with a very simple and elegant vibe.”

“If I could give this place 20 stars I would! This was my first time coming here and my only regret was not finding it sooner!!! Irwin is absolutely amazing!!! Not only is he reliable, but the professionalism is to another level!! Not only was he able to fix my cash register, but get me out of a jam by letting me use a loaner while he fixed mine! My register suddenly turned off and would not turn back on- and when it did it only stayed on for a few minutes without any display. Irwin was able to fix it and get it back running! “A decent place for Filipino food. The place is relatively clean and well maintained. The grocery, food orders and meat area is on the first floor while their Dining Area is on the 2nd floor. It gets busy during lunch and dinner hours. The are kinda slow with taking orders. Wish they had a better system of just getting your order and food. Being in line takes about 15 to 20 minutes to have your food ready. By that time, I'm already dizzy from hunger. The food is great though. So it is worth the wait. Especially their grilled foods like pork bbqs and fish. Very big portions. Although not all the foods are the best in taste so you will need to discover which ones are the best for you. Grocery is abundant with lots of Filipino products. Meat are is kinda generic. You can have large orders of food and schedule a pick up date. It is ordered in the cashier up front. Good amount of parking but can be very busy. Staff is friendly and accomodating although they are mostly busy.”

In my case, he helped completely transform my kitchen with new lighting and a creative paint job. I really thought he was luny thinking lighting would make such a difference. No pun intended but before-after is like night and day. He worked the same magic on my bathroom. Both spaces went from dull, outdated kurfludgery (a made up word that sounds like how those spaces felt :-P) to pleasant, attractive spaces that make me feel special just being there. Best value home make-over ever! He is also very crafty with designing & building. He custom made a shelving system for my work operations that is so sturdy and neat-looking, everyone who sees it admires it. He also made a decorative wrought iron mirror frame that's the centerpiece of my foyer.”
