  Best Social Media Cover Photo. Very nice view of downtown LA. You can also see the Hollywood sign. It’s a very nice drive, or you can park and hike various distances, depending on what you want to do. Pay to park near, but we were able to find spot at the top.

  I love this place! Unbelievable views day or night. Fairly busy on a midweek afternoon and telescope lines were long after 8pm. My 9 yr old could have spent all day experiencing the exhibits. His favorite was seeing how each planet compares to Earth and the periodic table that featured samples of the elements. Bring change for the shuttle bus, $.50 per person. Walk-able parking spots fill often. At 7pm they allow public use of the huge telescope. Really enjoyed eating lunch outside with a view of the Hollywood sign. Food was delicious and decently priced.

  My friend and I made a quick visit before heading to the Descanso for the Enchanted Forest. It was pretty crowded but I loved reading about the many people who have all made ripples and waves in the advancement of science. My cousin is studying aerospace engineering and he’s obsessed with astronomy ???? and has taught me so much already. It’s fun and enlightening but I wish I could have stayed longer! They have monthly free lectures, which I think is so awesome. I’ll definitely be returning. Also, the view of the city it gorgeous at night!

  Great place with amazing views of Los Angeles. I always have a great time here. Try to avoid busy days or weekends, you can do a lot more when there is less people. Plus parking is a lot better.

  A landmark in the greater Los Angeles area, historical and educational. Great outdoors, breathtaking views of downtown skyscrapers and the iconic Hollywood sign. There’s so much kids and grownups can learn about our universe at the observatory, ideal for a picnic with the family. At night you can take amazing photos of the Los Angeles city lights!
