“When yesterday with my wife, this is a great local spot for Chinese food. I used to come here all the time as a kid before the renovations and they honestly still taste the same. I’m not surprised the same owners are still cooking up the best Chinese recipes from their veggie egg rolls to their orange chicken. If you’ve been wondering whether you should come taste this place I think this is your sign that you should. Just look at the portion sizes for our food in the pictures included. And they have a good variety of soft drinks and boba drinks! 🧋”

“Good people, good coffee and I enjoyed how laid back it was. Drip coffee with oat milk was really good and worth a try. The servers were nice and engaging.”

Pollen

Address: 2100 Echo Park Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90026, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“Pollen is the most understated cafe in Los Angeles. You won't find it on many lists, but here's why it needs to be on every list: 1) Food: It's so good from the granola to the fried egg sandwich. My fried egg sandwich came with roasted potatoes that were perfectly seasoned and the fried egg sandwich was on point. The thick cut of bacon mixed with the perfectly fried egg (it oozes out making the sandwich more rich) make the sandwich. It's the best fried egg sandwich I've had ever! 2) Coffee: I'm not sure what it is, but it's good. After all, Aussies know their coffee and this Aussie owned cafe crews a good batch of beans. 3) Atmosphere: It's in cool Echo Park in a neighborhood. The space itself is beautiful. Simple design with a large outdoor patio with beautiful ceilings and tiles on the ground. If you want a quality breakfast, drive to Pollen. You won't regret it!”
