“A nice hiking spot with some history. There are several trails you can hike on. There's also the abandoned animal cages you can stop by and see. Some cages are open and others are locked. Poor animals had small cages, must be why they closed it. There's a lot of good photo opportunities here. It does get a little full on weekends so expect a crowd.”

“To describe them best, they are the best. They can give you great directions and every single technique that is taught by the instructors. The outdoor training connects well with the lessons. Encourage anyone that is interested in learning Bujinkan Taijitsu to give them a chance.”

“Funny enough we had our thanksging dinner here. The food place had a special for $16 for.turkey and all the fixins. It was okay but not great. The yams wer obviously canned. My biggest complaint is the beer selection. Where are all the local draft beers. They only had the bug name brands. ”

Old Los Angeles Zoo

Address: 4801 Griffith Park Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90027, USA

Zoo

“If you love abandoned places, run to The Old Zoo. If you don't, still go to use the picnic tables for lunch, but skip the exploration part. If you are a thrill seeker, budget 45-60 minutes to explore all the old, empty cages. There's a lion's den, bird cages, monkey cages, etc. Most of the cages are closes, but a few are open for people to crawl throw and see what it was like to be a zoo animal decades ago. The highlights: 1) Lion's den: There's one you can crawl up into and see the crawl spaces and the graffiti art now in it. 2) Monkey cage: Behind the main area, hike up and keep going until you come to another cage that you can go in and walk on top of. 3) Back den: There's a large area that goes on and on. In the very front is a water way with a dry tunnel you can crawl through if you're brave enough. If you like unique things or taking unique photography, go here! It's in Griffith Park, which is fun to explore on its own.”
