i love helen
I’m pretty sure Veritas saved my life. Specifically, my time in PHP and IOP in Richmond was transformative. It was exactly what I needed to help me understand what I had been doing to myself through my ED, garner a desire to change, and begin my recovery. It’s not perfect, but no treatment center is.
I had great experiences with all staff members except one, who was terminated shortly after I started. (When I went to the clinic’s director with concerns about this staff member I was taken seriously, listened to, treated fairly and followed up with. It was awesome.)
Staff members Tyler, Jess, Helen, Liz, Carla, Liana, Margaret, Katherine, Caitlin and Catelyn have all had *significant* impacts on my recovery and are each partially responsible for the fact that I’m still here and still recovering. Just wanted to get that out in case y’all are reading.
The bottom line is, treatment will be what you make of it. It’s not usually fun. You’ll talk about your ED a lot. It’s nobody’s favorite place to be. But if you need it, and if you can learn to want it, it’ll help. There will be lackluster days, meals, groups, and staff members—just like all other hospitals. But the people here care. I’m really grateful for Vtas.
So first of all the variety is great (I was especially excited by the edible grade lavender flowers, white vinegar in bulk, and orange blossom bubble bath) but the absolute best part was...THEY HAD A KID'S CORNER!!!
I was all set to have the 'no touch' talk with my toddler, but she ran straight for the little table with crayons and toys, and other than calling for us to look at what she was doing constantly, was very happy there, leaving me to browse in (relative) peace.
THANK YOU SUSTAIN!!!
Absolutely love this store, bigger selection than I expected and there are kids toys in the front to entertain little ones. Can't wait for an excuse to return.
Came in this weekend to see what this place is all about and the staff was so friendly and helpful it made me want to support. I came in to get some cleaning spray but was blown away by all the other products they had. I will be back to get others refilled soon. The only suggestion is to label what brands they are. I would love to know who I am buying and supporting
My first experience shopping at SustainLA was wonderful! As a family, we are trying to be more thoughtful in our consumption as well as reduce our use of plastic in 2020 and plan to shop regularly at this store. The personnel were helpful and explained the process of choosing items and weighing containers, etc. The quality of all the products we purchased was great. All good!!
Until our government steps up to curb/end plastic pollution (plastic once created will not go away, dirtying our land/oceans). Individuals have to step up and work on improving the amount of trash they create. This place offers necessities so you can make your life zero waste with a refill center that lets you refill your bottles with dishwasher power, dish soap, and other supplies to keep your house clean and create your own solutions to do that.
