Food here is delicious and the prices are very decent! I love their beef noodles, their spicy pork soup dumplings and their scallion pancakes. The only downside is that they never change their menus - I’ve been going here for more than 2 years and the menu hasn’t changed one bit. Lastly, they also don’t take reservations. That being said, still recommend checking this place out because it’s totally worth it.

Really delicious mapo tofu! The portion was generous. The service here is really good and it’s a convenient location right inside Runway Playa Vista.

The soup dumplings, scallion pancakes, and baby bok choy were all also really good.

Edit: oh, don’t forget to try the Seaweed & Tofu Salad, it is amazing!

The space itself is too bright, spartan, loud, and uncomfortable. So dining in here sort of spoils the whole experience … if they could just fix that. On a nice day, it’s great to dine outside here.

Had a great visit. I'm not sure any of the flavors were too authentic, but they were absolutely delicious. I suppose that's why the name is " modern" not traditional. We absolutely enjoyed everything and liked the spin they put on some of the food. The service was quite good and the food kept coming in a timely manner. I will definitely be back.

We were craving Authentic Chinese Food and found this restaurant on Google. The staff was super friendly, the ambiance can use a little warmth, lighting was a bit bright but the food was delicious, dumplings were to die for, green beans were cooked to perfection, the rice was our favorite & they also had a nice wine selection. We will definitely be back again.

I really enjoyed this place. They had many gluten-free options, like the shrimp fried rice, popcorn chicken and others. My favorite was the fried rice. However, some of the sauces weren’t gluten free, so I’d encourage them to make the entire dish gluten-free. I would also suggest them to update their menu. They were out of a soup we really wanted to try and they didn’t let us know until after we ordered it so we had to change our selection. Service was quick and friendly so I would definitely come back.
