“I was there about 53 years ago. I lived at 205 N. Hermosa. I was only 8 years old. I had got up on the roof of the Sierra Madre Elem School to retrieve a baseball. I broke a tile shingle in order to get my baseball. Yep, they caught me. Took me into the police station and held me until my parents came. They were very nice to me. I got ceviche tostadas with hot blaring hot sauce which was homemade ! Tostadas were fantastic, yummy & flavorful. My friend ordered 2 fish tacos & Jamaica drink(they charge for refills which is a ripoff). Since they don't have free refills on any drink only water they get only 4 stars.”

“I have been attending this church for the last few weeks and it has been amazing. The people are warm and friendly, the potlucks have been delicious and varied, the music in the sanctuary has been professional and beautifully done, and the pastor preaches outstanding sermons...deep and invigorating. Not the love, love, foo foo sermons so commonly heard in other places. It is very evident during his delivery that he has researched well the topic and God works with his brilliance to provide theologically sound, captivating, heart and mind stirring talks. I never get bored or tired of listening. This church is awesome! I have been bringing a friend who is non SDA, and she loves the sermons as well and the entire service. The members are very courteous and she has mentioned that she feels their warmth and love despite her non-member status.”

FBC takes a novel approach to Sunday School, which FBC calls Sunday Morning Groups. The discussions in those groups are theologically rich. “Judith Paniagua is a very ethical, knowledgeable, experienced realtor. She helped us close a deal on a commercial property in Duarte, CA within 2 months of listing with her. The receptionists and dental hygienists there are always warm and friendly, and I can usually get an appointment within the same week if needed.
