“My wife and I have been coming here for years and only recently we decided to hop on the Metro and bring our daughters (1.5 and 4.5 y.o.); this place is an amazing small spot and quite possibly the best South Pasadena sushi spot. The staff is really nice and there is just something about the chef that makes you like him. They have always been attentive and good with us. For those who complain about portions, this is definitely not “all you can eat” so don’t expect it because this far exceeds the quality of the AYCE spots by at least a mile. Try the Chuka Iidako and the Tako Wasabi to start and go with the Salmon Avocado Salad and go from there. Finish off with ice cream down the street 😬”

“As a New Yorker living in LA, I’m always on the hunt for good NYC style Pizza. This place is it! Tomato Pie Pizza Joint in South Pasadena is amazing! We got a Pepperoni, Mac n Cheese, and Syracuse Hot Wing slice! All we’re delicious and I can confirm that are definitely NYC status for pizza! The people that work there are very nice and I’ll definitely keep coming back! This place has me locked in!”

“We really liked this place's take on Indian food. It was much lighter than some southern versions. One of the highlights was a fusion appetizer: ceviche tostadas that had Indian seasonings in the mix (garam masala? I asked the chef but he wouldn't reveal). We also enjoyed various lamb and chicken dishes. The servers were friendly and the little neighborhood in South Pasadena was delightful.”

“Beef stew on rice has nice five spice flavor. Black tea is not strong brewed but I suspect people come here for the special flavor combinations. Order ahead of you're in a hurry. Parking very limited. Outdoor seating has several tables under umbrellas.”
