“I'm pleased I found this place. At first I thought I would come in once I a while for a coffee and snack. But I have been a steady regular for about 4 weeks now. The coffee is spectacular! I recommend the spanish latte. I ordered the latter with oat milk in it was by far the best tasting latte I've ever had. I order now whenever I go in. The frittata was ever so delicious and their egg sandwich scrumptious. Compliments to the greats chef's whipping up these delights for the taste buds. They could work on customer service skills though. I asked if they served breakfast and I was coldly referred to look at the menu. That kind of response was not needed or appreciated. Other than that. Love this place.”

“La Velo is the best thing to come to Silverlake in a while. The coffee is always fresh hot or cold and There is always a wide variety of teas available. Everything always taste great and Austin (owner of La Velo) always makes sure to make adjustments to your liking. Speaking of Austin he is the nicest person I’ve met in a long while. Every time I come by to get a drink or a treat for my dogs we have a great conversation. Austin even graciously helped me with a school photography project. Allowing me to take pictures of him as he worked. Even if the coffee was bad which is isn’t I would still come back just so we could have a quick chat. “I go to McDonald's every morning for coffee. I go to different locations base on my work assignment for the day. One thing I do NOT like is getting asked to park so my order can be made. I don't like it because they rush my coffee. So they will pull it off as it is brewing, they fill my cup, and return the pitcher to collect the rest of the brewing coffee ☕ that makes my cup the strongest part of the brew😳 so it tastes horribly! Also, my McMuffins get rushed. That means that the muffins don't get toasted, or the sausage is not good and hot 💥 TODAY was different😃 I parked, a couple of minutes later, I got my coffee. It was GREAT 👍 I drove away as I was on my way to work. I reached into the bag to get my McMuffin, I was dreading...but I bit into a nicely toasted muffin and a hot egg 🥚 and a hot sausage🤪 it was perfect too!! Wow!! I was so happy!! Today is going to be a great day!! I thought to myself. Then I hear a loud sound. It seems I was on the freeway and now had a flat tire. As I wait for Tripe A to come and help me. I am enjoying one of the best hot cups of coffee and breakfast 😋 that I have had in quite a while. Thank you McDonald's crew!!!”

“Unostentatious, tiny coffee/breakfast/lunch place in a tiny strip mall (sidebar: does using the word unostentatious make Me ostentatious?!). I had an almond milk mocha and the D.Y.C.H. Acái Bowl. Both were yum but the thing that struck me most about this place was the steady flow of people in and out and calling in orders, a large number of which appeared to be regulars. Many were "bumping into" people they knew, hello hugs all around. I'm not from this 'hood, but I could really feel this sense of community. It was a cool vibe. Coffee by La Colombe Coffee Roasters.”
