“this is a great park with a lot of wide open space. it has exactly what you need and you might be looking for; a play area, tennis courts and a small basketball court. the parking here is a bit limited but i've never seen it too crowded. the bathroom has been dirty and might need more attention on occasion”

“The divide is home to a large paved parking area, a single bench under nearby trees, an information sign post (not frequently updated) and a restroom facility. This area has no water (unless cached by Trail Angels) and no cell phone service (unless high up on the mountains). It is a starting point for several nearby trails. A Forest Adventure Pass is required to park here. Weekend activities are high and parking can fill up early.”

“Very nice hike! There is a portion that is uphill with an elevation change of about 200ish feet, but you barely notice it after the view! You can see Malibu Creek State Park and Mulholland hwy! Plus it’s not as popular as Malibu Creek so the trails are usually empty and you’ll have a good chance to see some deer grazing in the field at the end of the trail! :)”

“We love this park very nice and lovely place the river with the way the park isn't scary. My kid's love the freshwater in the river to swim and eat also the todpoals. My husband love the historic house and place to eat like 1 mile walking to it. And bridge and everything. 1 of the things I brought my husband that he loved to much.”

“Great access and easy parking. We came here for the Perseid meteor shower, as the light maps showed it would be a decent experience about 26 miles out from metro LA while avoiding the lights north in Calabasas. While there was still some light pollution, the skies were clear and full of stars! The trail was clear, though long wheat stalks surrounding the trail made it hard to lay down a blanket. It's easier to put a lawn chair down if you'd like to view some stars. Overall easy access from the 101, and I would come back again for a good hike away from the bustle of the city.”

“This hike is pretty much unknown. Parking is at Piuma and Las Virgenes. And if you decide to do it, be warned it's not easy. It is 50% rock hopping. You will get wet up to your waist in some areas if you don't want to bushwhack your way through. Once you reach below the tunnel things open up to big exposed rock surfaces, see photos. There's some good swimming holes as well. Lot's of privacy. If you wish to continue on down the creek it's gonna get hard, and it's where you will be wading through water, it's a lot of fun for the adventurous type. Be mindful of poison oak, spiders, ticks, snakes, fish, and maybe a single lone mountain lion, that's been know to hang out at the dam. Yes, there's a dam, Rindge Dam and it's closed to the public. Stay out or you could catch a hefty fine.”
