Alta Vicente Reserve

Address: 30940 Hawthorne Blvd, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275, USA

Park

“This is by far my second rated hiking spot in California and the first place Calabasas. This place has the relaxing view of the tones of the ocean and on top of that the place is very well kept up by means of trash and parking lot access. If you want a beautiful photo of the view on the top portion I would suggest a 360 photo. The nature walk the way down the hill toward the biloing trees at the end is calming and breath taking experience for me and probably you as well. Now there is one lil scene I thought was lovely was the bird house in the trees at the final destination took a photo of it and it came out perfect.”

“Nice place. Great ocean view. But the city has blocked the stair way with a fence that someone has moved on the one side. So if you go use caution. The side of the stairs are being washed away by erosion. So it would be nice if the state, county or city could fix it. But the walk down is still nice. Views from above are nice. Family picnic would be great just watch the little ones by the side.”

West Mulholland Trailhead Topanga State Park

Address: 21218-21220 Mulholland Dr, Woodland Hills, CA 91364, USA

“So serene, and the views are some of the best on this side of the hill. Fortunately the trailhead entrance of Mulholland is still unpaved so we don't get too many tourists but I fear that is changing with the neighborhoods' increasing popularity. You'll see many runners, dog walkers and cyclists using the trail daily.”

“Been coming to this park for over 20 years. Great neighborhood park. Limited picnic tables, a playground, and restrooms. Also has a large field to play catch or kick a soccer ball around. Had my daughter's first birthday party there. We had planned to go to another park down the street but someone beat us to it. So we went up to country wood park and the party ended up turning out great. Even all the photos were great with 360 degree views at this park. I highly recommend this great park in our community.”

Interesting cultural place to visit when you're in San Pedro.”

“A great park to play baseball or soccer, or anything out in the open field. A nice hill that you can walk, or bike up with more nice grass area. It looks really nice, there's a playground and two baseball fields. I used to come here as a kid and really enjoyed the playground and riding my bike around the park and down the hill. And in highschool this was a good place to run laps for cross country practice. Overall it looks very nice and there's plenty of space to play or have a picnic.”

Great spot to hang out and enjoy the day. Beautiful spot to watch to the sunset or the waves crash. Life guard on duty as well for those that tend to wanna head into the water.”

Agua Amarga Reserve

“Beautiful place for a hike, but be warned that it is a strenuous one. there is a steep hill that the trail is on that is very dangerous for people who don’t take it slow. I’m surprised that this is allowed but all in all it has great views. I wish the local government would clean up the Castor Bean plants along the trail, (they are known as one of the most poisonous plants), and obviously I would rather not be brushing up against them.”
