“Great park for kids and ppl who play sports. A huge field and a play ground. In the summer it’s a great resource for children using the city park program. Main downside is the cops driving through the literal grass from prairie to cordary. Smh Just straight across. And the cameras…1984 much?? Has parking on 3 sides and walking distance from the plaza across the street. The general area needs remodeling but is a relic from my childhood so i see it the same way.”

“This is really the best and somewhat official spot to see the Hollywood sign. Don't stop along the GPS quoted route until you reach the park itself, you'll be tempted based on how many people park downhill and walk up, you can go through the residential neighborhoods right up to the park. It's a great view and parking is fairly easy since there's people are constantly coming and going.”

“Great trail running area in the middle of downtown Los Angeles. Very pleased to have found this area while on vacation and staying in the bustling city. This park gets up a bit higher than the surrounding area so the provided views are great. The trail is semi flat as it winds around the various hills. I wouldn't say any of it is really difficult but some parts wind you around away from an easy exit. You just have to be aware of the loop or path you are about to traverse onto. I did love the graffiti on the rocks. It added a nice LA flare to the trail. Lots of little parks in the surrounding area to explore!”

“I used to come here as I Kid with my dad and my sisters. One of the best memories I have when I was a kid, and I loved every moment of it. Can't believe it's still here and well taken care of. There is a variety of playgrounds here that include slides, Swings, and other fun playgrounds. You can take a nice bike ride, or just hang out and read a good book. They also have workout equipment too for the adults, and lots of picnic tables to enjoy a good lunch or a birthday party.”

“My daughter calls this the American ninja warrior park. Great for a huge range of ages, since they have two playground right next to each other for young and older kids. My daughter's 9 now and she loved it. We met a 10 and 11 year old and they were having a blast. Check my images. The playground has loads of cables to climb on, funky seats to rest in, a rock wall, slides, and other obstacles It even had an adult excersie area near the kids playground. Great for active kids and adults. The kids playground was half in the sun and half shaded by trees. So great for hot or cool days. The park itself is very nice. There was a baseball game going on in the baseball field and a family was under a permanent shaded structure having a birthday party. Lots of grass and areas to relax.”

It was awesome to see him handle the magnificent birds with such finesse. Holding the owl was surreal! What a beautiful and gentle encounter. Then came time for the hawks to show their stuff. “Completed this hike in 5 hours. I did stop to take pictures. This was a challenging addition in my journey. We hiked 5 miles uphill, then about 5 1/2 on the way back to the car. It was a gloomy morning but perfect weather for the climb. Trekking poles are recommended; there's a lot of loose rocks making the downhill slippery. Prepare yourself before you start. Pack yourself snacks and at least 2 bottles of water, you will encounter steep inclines on the way up and it will definitely feel like a workout. Enjoy!”
