“This Viewpoint is a great place to stop and take in the scenery on the Temescal Trail Loop. You can see to the West all down to the ocean and to the east you can see Santa Monica all the way to downtown Los Angeles. The west side of prochain of the Temescal Trail Loop is more exposed to the Sun and when you turn on the Canyonside there's more shaded areas for your hike.”

“A gem of a wildness park on the southern boundary of Santa Clarita. Miles of hiking trails through beautiful riparian landscapes, a narrow, steep-walled canyon and even bubbling tar pits. The views of the Santa Clarita Valley from the top are unparalleled. Good for mountain biking also, but be warned it is for advanced riders only. The outer loop trail is a fairly strenuous 5.1 miles, but well worth the effort. Allow 2 hours if you are hiking and bring the whole family!”

“The park is beautiful! One of the best in the area! You have to pay for parking but it's worth the price.”

“Nice quite place for a walk. I always enjoy seeing the wildlife and wild flowers in spring. There is often a small stream of water in the riverbed surrounded by oak trees. The burned out trees make a beautiful contrast with the fresh growth and wild flowers.”

“There were a lot more hills than I expected! Every review said easy, I guess... Maybe I just have weak lungs. I had to stop to catch my breath after some of those hills! Will definitely be back. Lovely place.”

“April 2017 - This hike-in trail camp on the PCT is amazing - I highly recommend it. The campsite is surrounded by mature trees and has a creek right along the south side. There are three large camping areas with a fire ring and tables. There is enough room for many tents. The bathroom is far enough away that it doesn't disturb but also not too far to make it a hike to use it. Unfortunately the bathroom was quite dirty - the forest service should come around to clean it more often. There is no potable water available so bring a filter or boil the water from the creek.”

“Very nice neighborhood park. I live nearby and was surprised how nicely done the playground is. Only thing is on the weekends I do see there's a lot of people that visit the park so I don't even stop by with my kids. I would only go on weekdays to avoid the crowd and be able to see my kids better. There is the wetlands trail right at the end of the parking lot. Great for exercising. There is a small exercise equipment at the entrance of parking lot. A full size soccer field with fake turf as well. Overall it's a great addition to my neighborhood!”

“Not not as much ocean influence as the El ocaso trail or los leones or even the temescal ridge trail but definitely amazing fog views, seabreezes ,and views of pacific palisades and as you dip down into rivas canyon a semi forest type vegetation takes on the scene....”

“I want to preface this with a fact: I don't hike. I've gone on a couple dozen in my life all over the US and it's not my jam. But I love coming to Temescal Canyon. It's well kept, there are easy to moderate trails and even the fully paved option. And restrooms.”
