“Have a cousin who was in town who grew up in LA and she suggested this spot! It was perfect for a heavy July 4th weekend meal. I’ve never been crazy about pastrami, so I opted for the chicken sandwich and the pastrami fries. Both were super appetizing! The chicken sandwich was cooked perfectly and so big I could barely fit it in my mouth… Definitely not beard friendly, but it hit the spot! Pastrami fries were fantastic! I think I enjoyed the pastrami more in this fashion then on the pastrami dip sandwich my cousin had. Regardless, I would definitely go back! We also grabbed a drink from the bar before our food came. We had the cantaloupe margarita. I can’t say that I was impressed with it or would get it again. But, the food!? Definitely!”

“Pretty good! Far from the best spicy chicken place in the area but it had reasonable prices and quick service. The restaurant was clean and the employees were friendly/helpful. The sandwich was good. I got hot spice level and it was spicy without being over the top. I'd get the same level next time. The coleslaw was fine and was good after the spicy sandwich but probably wouldn't get it again. The mac and cheese was creamy and good. I'll go back and try the fried pickles and fries next time.”

“I was visiting LA and met with a friend I hadn't seen for almost ten years. The staff was very friendly. My friend and I sat and chatted for hours, and no one tried to kick us out. I appreciate the level of hospitality. The food was excellent! I don't eat meat, and the server helped me pick a few items that accommodate my food preference. I highly recommend this place. My only suggestion is to get a card reader that allows you to add a tip. We didn't have any cash. I felt horrible not leaving a tip. So we went down the street to an ATM and pulled some money. (Or just remember to bring cash to tip your servers.)”

“Tacos El Vampiro is located here in the city of Sylmar. They are a family-owned business. I began coming here since they were street vendors. Let me say from the first time I tried the food here it was like love at first bite. They used to post up Thursday to Sunday on glen oaks and Herron but now they have an actual location here in the shopping center. It's beautiful to see this restaurant working together as a family. The staff makes you feel like your family. The food here is outstanding ranging from tacos to quesadillas. They also do keto tacos for those who are watching their weight. I highly recommend them. They are savory with lots of fresh ingredients. The salsa bar is nice too. You can get from mild to spicy depending on your preference. They have indoor dining or a cute outdoor area that lights up around 6 pm super cute. I love the tacos de al pastor with grilled pineapple and jalapeño. This spot can get busy so you can order online or by phone. Trust me tacos here are a must.”

The only negative was that the macaroni salad tasted a little bland compared to other places in the area. Also one interesting thing is that they have crumbled packet ramen in the cabbage salad, which seemed a little odd at first, but I liked it since it made the salad more crunchy. If you order a bigger place (around 13 dollars) you are basically getting two meals which is a great deal.”

It's a butcher, it's a market with amazing produce selection, it also has a restaurant inside that sells the most amazing food! Lots of parking, staff is really friendly and helpful. Meat quality is excellent and they have a lot of prepared meats and appetizers for the grill. The restaurant inside is amazing. Of course they use their fresh meats which makes it that much better. They spared no expense on the massive, visible kitchen; the centrally located bar, various indoor and outdoor seating areas, a free parking lot for motorcycles adjacent to the restaurant with uniformed security. My friend ordered the Full Bike Shed Breakfast. Looked great - you could see the quality ingredients - it was all cold however - including the eggs. I ordered the Breakfast Buddha Bowl. Gorgeous to look at, full of wonderful ingredients - missing a dressing with some acid - tasted like they just poured some olive oil on it. So...I'd go back - chalking the food issues off to opening month.”
